Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu landed in Milan yesterday to discuss the transfer of Inter star Hakan Calhanoglu, among other things.
According to FCInterNews, the Turkish club’s chief executive declined to comment when asked about the matter by Sky Sport.
Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen is the principal reason for Kavukcu’s visit.
Indeed, Galatasaray are hellbent on bringing the Nigerian back to Istanbul after a standout season.
However, Kavukcu could have used the occasion to make contact with Inter for Hakan Calhanoglu.
Galatasaray Silent About Ongoing Pursuit of Inter Milan Ace Hakan Calhanoglu

Despite the Rams Park outfit’s genuine interest, their quest to sign the 31-year-old is still at square one.
Indeed, they’ve refused to meet Inter’s substantial €35 million asking price, showing no intention of surpsassing the €15m mark.
Therefore, talks have hit a standstill, and yesterday’s visit seemingly didn’t help get negotiations back on track.
Meanwhile, the Italians are perfectly happy with keeping hold of Calhanoglu despite recent frictions.
However, if he does end up leaving, Inter will probably try to onboard Ederson.
Inter have been the worst selling club as long as I can remember.
here we are looking for pennies while other teams are selling and demanding ludicrous fees for their star players.
Leoni 40M, Rovella 50M. Ederson 65M. Retegui 70M (national teams only striker going to saudi to further doom Italy national team into oblivion). Osimhen 75M (1 year left on contract). Tonali 75-80M. Hernandez 25M (1 year left on contract). Reijnders 71M.
and the list goes on…
and what’s more surprising is that they are still buying players even before they sell. they are not waiting to sell and drag on until the last minute before they buy a replacement.
bro, you cant sell player with real value if they didnt perform in their last season campaign. you will be inter president if you can do it.
what means they didnt perform??? they reached CL final!
You’re not looking into it deeply enough. You can be mad at me for saying that, but your opinion is not strong enough to convince me he performed well last season.
i dont like Hakan, so I dont care, I prefer he leaves
You need to look at player age and potential resale value as a factor. Retegui has youth and potential to become highly productive in his role – Hakan has neither.
Galatasaray are cheap dipshits an will not offer 30m. We value our player cuz he is among the best registas. This is a lose-lose situation. The only way this end up win-win is if they give us Yilmaz for free, and we give them Hakan for free. But again its up to Chivu, does he want another striker?
One of the best DMs he was one- two years ago – since then he only declined
