Denzel Dumfries has been offered to Barcelona by Jorge Mendes, with Inter Milan worried about losing the Dutchman.
This according to Spanish outlet SPORT, via FCInter1908. They claim that the Nerazzurri are expecting to lose Dumfries due to his release clause.
Inter Milan are considering the possibility that they could lose Denzel Dumfries this summer.
The Nerazzurri will not lose the Dutchman for free. He signed a contract extension last year.
However, that new deal includes a release clause of €25 million.
Moreover, Inter are aware that Dumfries is not altogether happy with the harsh words from Inter captain Lautaro Martinez last week.
Then, there is the fact that Dumfries has changed his agent to Jorge Mendes. That could very well be a signal of intent to leave the club this summer.
Denzel Dumfries Offered To Barcelona By Mendes – Inter Worried About Release Clause

And according to SPORT, Mendes has offered Dumfries directly to Barcelona.
The agent has recently held transfer talks with the Blaugranas. And SPORT report that Dumfries was one of the main names that emerged in the talks.
Barcelona are fans of the Netherlands international. They are aiming to strengthen on the right flank with an attacking full-back, and have already targeted Jeremie Frimpong before his move to Liverpool.
However, Barcelona have limited financial resources. And they are also prioritizing an attacking winger.
Nevertheless, SPORT report, Inter feel that there is a good chance that they will lose Dumfries for his release clause.
The outlet anticipate that Barcelona and Manchester City are both keen on the former PSV wingback.
if he didnt have that great game vs barca no one would have said good things about him if im not saying hes bad but hes not one of the best wingbacks in the world id be feeling great if he stays, ok if he leaves but not for 25 mil 35-40
Cancelo, Hakimi and now Dumfries. We managed to sign great wingbacks last decade. I think our bestluck might end here.
Well that’s a bunch on bs. Cancelo never learned to play defence or manage his temper. Haki was an investment that doubled over 12 months.
We had amazing FB before. Maicon and El capitano. Even maxwell did well. Cordoba was also wing back at the start in inter. Coco and panucci….
Denzel is strong. I like him and he will stay. And if not – next.
I’m talking about last decade. We got some downfall after treble until ~2015 season. I remember correctly. So many annoying transfers like we let go Coutinho, keep Ricky so on… Back then we got Dodo, Santon, Jonathan, Wallace, Ansaldi so on. Only Nagotoma, D’Ambrossio was good.
I’m supporting Inter since 2000’s. I know well about players you mentioned.
This agent is dumb as hell. He offers him to Barcelona who have Lamine Yamal. Dumfries will never get playing time there.
Denzel is currently one of the best wingbacks in the world. Inter have to be crazy to sell Dumfries.
He has a release clause, not really anything Inter can do now
To be honest, I’ve got a feeling that this release clause will be a wake up call for Denzel, as I don’t think anyone will activate it- certainly not the clubs that Denzel seems to think want him…. Yes, he had a great season last season, but it was the exception as opposed to the rule, and there are issues with transfers to either Barca or City…. Barca can’t afford him, and then there would be the whole registration saga that they go through with every signing…. As for City, Dumfries isn’t a technically gifted player, and wouldn’t fit into Peps style of play… emaculate first touch, fast 1 touch football and great vision aren’t exactly Denzels greatest attributes…. His most realistic option would be signing for the ongoing shitshow at Man Utd, so if he really values a few extra dollars every week, to play for a fallen giant in continuous decline, so be it… I think Denzel might come to realise that he’s already playing at the best club he could possibly hope to play for, and be grateful that he’s still considered a key player….
don’t think he is moving anywhere..as you said, it will be a wake up call
