Amidst talk that Hakan Calhanoglu will depart the club, Inter Milan are ready to give summer arrival Petar Sucic a chance in the first team straight away.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, and via FCInterNews.it, the 21-year-old has impressed Inter’s hierarchy since joining from Dinamo Zagreb and could be fast-tracked into being a regular option in the new campaign.
Whilst coach Christian Chivu will continue to deploy a three-man midfield of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Calhanoglu if he remains, Sucic has shown enough to be considered a rotational option and could seize his change if Inter deploy a two-man midfield.
Indeed, he is considered ready to operate alongside Barella as a pair and fits the role better than Mkhitaryan and Calhanoglu, whilst his experience of partnering the iconic Luka Modric for Croatia has also not gone unnoticed.
Inter have plenty of options in the middle, with Davide Frattesi also due back from injury, but there is confidence that Sucic can make a significant impact in his debut season in Serie A.
sucic is likely better than fratessi in 3-5-2
the wings are not type of offensive n ball keeping winger to play with 3421 unless they really get lookman it may be 3421 or 4231 or 433
looking forward to preseason though i do believe inter will remain play with 352
it really is a waste of talent in pio and sucic if they decide to play with 3421
inter should have keep hold of Alexander Stankovic, that boy could be the missing piece of what inter are lacking in the defensive midfield,it’s unfortunate inter have if not sold him…
That would be my ideal starting midfield pair! Sucic playing alongside Barella means they can take turns bombing forward, and Barella might not end up looking exhausted with some young legs playing alongside him!
Plus Susic can improve defensively learning from Niko. 3-4-1-2 would be great. 3-2-4-1 – even better. Its basically 3-4-2-1 with Dima and Denzel pushing forward. Its the WM that i think will fit this current Inter. Requires them to pass without thinking cause they need to move the ball fast
this and this! when barella performs inter don’t always do well, but when he’s looking tired or locked by opponents inter will definitely suffer
