Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi has turned down a move to Botafogo this summer.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. They report that the Iranian international’s representatives are in contact with two clubs in the Premier League.

The 33-year-old had a very underwhelming first season at Inter. Therefore, there is a widespread feeling that he will be on his way after just one year at the club.
There have been plenty of clubs to show an interest in Taremi’s signature.
All of Besiktas, Porto, West Ham United, Fulham, and Leeds United reportedly see the Iranian as a target.
However, a new name as also entered the mix. Brazilian club Botafogo are reportedly keen on a surprise swoop for Taremi.

Reportedly, Botafogo are preparing to make an offer both to Mehdi Taremi and to Inter.
The Brazilian club are hoping that they can convince the striker both with their project on the pitch, and with wages.
However, SportMediaset report, Taremi himself would not be keen on the move.
The 33-year-old’s priority is still to remain in Europe.
Therefore, Taremi would be much more inclined towards a move to the Premier League.
And according to Mediaset, the Iranian’s agents have been in contact with two clubs in the English top flight recently.
