Inter Milan are reportedly “obsessed” with gaining Serie A title revenge over Napoli in the upcoming season.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan only narrowly missed out on the Serie A title last season.
The title race, in fact, went all the way down to the final day of the season. And the Nerazzurri only missed out to Napoli by a single point in the end.
Inter Milan “Obsessed” With Serie A Title Revenge Over Napoli

Further galling Inter was the sense that the title was theirs to lose.
The Nerazzurri had won the 2023-24 season in dominant fashion, by a margin of nearly twenty points.
And then, last summer, Inter kept that title-winning squad together.
Furthermore, Inter reached the final of the Champions League last campaign. That reinforced the sense that they were the team with the most quality in Serie A.
However, Inter simply slipped up too many times over the course of the season in the league. More often than not, unnecessarily.
On the other hand, Napoli had an uncanny knack for taking points week in week out, never squandering opportunities.
Therefore, Inter are “obsess” with regaining their crown according to the Corriere dello Sport.
That’s the hope, especially with Contes dire record of competing on multiple fronts… There’s no guarantees in football for sure, but it’s undeniable that with KDB, Lucca, Buekama, Milinkovic-Savic, and Noa Lang, Napoli have done some great business… hopefully we can add Lookman and Leoni, and give them a title race to remember!!
This Fucking Stupid Nee Comments section!!!!
Player mentalitity could be the deciding factor in the title race, although the worry is that Napoli have strengthened significantly! Last seasons title loss – for me- is down to the players more than the coach, as they clearly didn’t put as much effort into league games as they did in Europe (bar the final!) Napoli won because we were bad, rather than them being good, but this season Napoli have the squad to push us all the way, even if we play at our best! With Chivu going into his first full season as a coach, it will be imperative that his players give him 100% every week, if we’re gonna get back the Scudetto!!
I agree, many are spitting on Inzaghi for last season, sure, he made mistakes, but he had done good job till the last couple of games. 0 investments made in starting lineup, and from mostly bringing players on a free transfer, then players oscillations in game, especially in last 15-20 mins of the game, Inzaghi has done well. During the season there were max 15 players who did good, the rest either injured, supbar games, too old or simply not good enough. I don’t like how he left the club in that way (but considering the amount of money that was in play, 95% of us would leave, you can secure your grandchildren grandchildens future with a couple of season there). As for Chivu, hopefully he’ll give Napoli hell of a fight for Scudetto, quarter finals of Champions league with a bit of luck, and to win either cup or super cup, so we don’t end up without trophy.
Agreed… The way it came to an end under Inzaghi tarnished his legacy slightly, but 6 trophies and 2 Champions league finals in 4 years- with a zero budget- is very impressive!! Anyone whi says otherwise simply doesn’t understand football…. I also think that Moratta didn’t help matters by only ever giving him 1 year contract extensions, but then at the same time I feel a parting of the ways was inevitable from the moment Oaktree came in, and decided to look towards youth- something that Inzaghi simply doesn’t do….
I have high hopes for Chivu, as long as he’s given time to make a few mistakes as a young coach…. whether we’ll win the league this season is up to debate… personally, I think that’s asking a lot of a rookie coach, but if we’re in contention, playing good football, and using younger players, I’ll be happy with that as a starting point… A cup win to go along with it would be the icing on the cake!!
We only say 4 games of chivu ball and also that was using 352 i think 3421 will suit us and also with lookman koni de winter as new signings and (leoni possibly) we will be set for new season and all of the signings we already made: Sucic Henrique Bonny i dont know why ppl are hating on henrique and bonny for henrique we only saw 4 games and as for bonny whos even more hated we didnt see ANY games from him. Scuddeto coppa italia and quarter-semi finals in cl would be one of the best seasons ever this decade for us
Sucic showed promise and skill to already contend for starter 3 in mid, both Zalewski and Henrique are wingers, not good in defence at all (same as Dimarco), as for Bonny, don’t know what to expect. I don’t think he’s an upgrade over Seb, Esposito at all.
Fans getting on Henrique and Bonnys back already is just beyond me… don’t really consider them fans….
Henrique did good when he went to left wing, he isn’t right back so defence isn’t natural for him. Same as Frattesi, put them on the right position and let them play, cause neither of them know how to play defence. Comment on Bonny stays, cause i didn’t see him yet how he plays for us, he’s at the same level as older Esposito, not an upgrade
It’s very important to understand that just because a team adds a bunch of players then they turn into a top team. It can very well go sideways for them and for me even with the additional players the fact that they’ll play for all competition early on it might catch them off guard while Inter have some experience in doing so.
