Inter Milan could reportedly try to convince Atalanta on a deal for Ademola Lookman with a player-plus-cash offer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
The status of Inter Milan’s pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is still up in the air.
It’s been a couple days since La Dea’s bombshell rejection of Inter’s second offer for the Nigerian. They turned down a bid of €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons.
And Inter are still mulling over whether to return with another improved bid.
Inter Could Offer Player + Cash To Atalanta For Ademola Lookman

As the Corriere dello Sport note, there are a few motivations for Atalanta not to want to sell Lookman to Inter.
The first is that La Dea do not need to cash in after selling Mateo Retegui to Al-Qadsiah.
Linked to that, Atalanta are reluctant to weaken their team further by selling yet another key attacking player. Particularly after also losing coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
Meanwhile, the third reason for Atalanta to be reluctant to accept an offer from Inter is that they prefer to sell Lookman to a club outside Serie A. For that same reason, they’re not keen to sell the 27-year-old to Napoli.
Inter are still unsure of what kind of valuation Atalanta would even have for Lookman.
If La Dea are to hold out for in excess of €50 million, then Inter will likely walk away from the talks.
However, the Corriere reports, the Nerazzurri may not just raise the offer if they believe the valuation is reasonable. They could also offer a player going the other way as a makeweight.
just add Taremi plus the 45 mil,win win for everyone.
Taremi + Asllani that would be a great deal
bro Atalanta ain’t that stupid, it would be a dream if they could do that for sure
Lookman is worth about 60-70 mln on the market, Atalanta is open to sell for 50 mln. Either pay that or move on and buy a quality CB.
