Inter Milan could reportedly make a late push to sign Lazio midfielder Nicolo Rovella toward the end of the transfer window.
According to Il Messaggero via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri would only do this on one condition.
Inter’s focus remains firmly on wantaway Atalanta star Ademola Lookman.
Indeed, they’re keen to complete the Nigerian forward’s arrival after vying for his signature the entire summer.
However, there could be further squad additions down the final stretch of the transfer window.
Inter Milan to Make Late Push to Sign Nicolo Rovella on One Condition

Despite fending off Fenerbahce’s interest earlier in the summer, Inter could still lose Hakan Calhanoglu.
Indeed, the Turkish midfielder appears unsettled, having neither confirmed nor denied the swirling rumors about his future.
Furthermore, his future at San Siro is still under review.
There’s a chance he could leave Serie A late in the summer, which would force the club’s hand.
Calhanoglu’s departure would see Inter revisit their interest in Nicolo Rovella.
However, it’s worth noting that the Lazio playmaker commands a hefty price tag.
It’s not going to happen. Lazio has a transfer ban until January and will not sell anyone.
YAWNS….
Yea I remember when I was all for selling Hakan last season and people shat on me like I was crazy… Inter should prepare to sell when a player is getting to their 30s for good money. Just like Tottenham selling Harry Kane for 100mil to bayern. also yea can we vahnge our scouting team? They been fuckn horrible.
Nah fuck that
Our management and scouts aren’t doing very good job. Management poor job in offloading and bringing new players quickly without much drama. As far as scouts are concerned, move on from damn Argentina, spread across Europe in smaller leagues, where you can find good talent cheaply, and bring yearly 10 prospects. Those plus kids already in U23 team will be good investment if we have coach who has balls to push young players into first team. Then after 2 years you see who is Inter material and bring him into first team, or 1 season on loan before that where they’ll be starter somewhere. The rest who aren’t up to task are sold in range of 1m-5m, or maybe more to build a budget where you can splurge on a player of 50mil who can make instantaneous improvement in game. That’s how you make a healthy club, which won’t operate every year in red.
I agree with you. I feel like we aren’t seeing new names that would surprise us, but instead we are sticking to the same few players and it’s not looking good. Lookman is a great player but the fact we spent 3 weeks on him given the situation does not seem like a good strategy. There are other names that we could have gone for within that time but its frustrating to see the same names pop up like Rovella which we do not need at this moment. We just look really desperate and reckless right now and this has to stop.
I wrote 3 weeks ago that we came into this t.w. unprepared and doing poor job in outgoing transfers, but many defended like there is still time, it’s not easy to sell players… Then hire new people in scouting and management who knows how to do their job. Poach people from Atalanta, Bologna… who knows how to make a sale. It’s incredible to me that we had i think only 8 outgoing transfers over 20m in the last 10 years. It’s pathetic, I agree that you can’t easily let go of your best players who are worth 50+mil, but problem is we wait for players to grow old or just play badly to sell them cheap or release on free. Last year Hakan should’ve been sold for 40+mil to Bayern, Asllani for 25mil, de Vrij should’ve been sold 3 years ago for 30mil (since he wasn’t a starter anymore).
Right now should replace a couple more players or wait till next season where will have to buy 10 or more players for first team in one transfer window. Leoni is expensive, not worth anything more than 30mil, so move on from him. Lookman is also expensive, he is worth 50mil, but the problem is he doesn’t have resale value. Players which can immediately be at least rotation players:
CB: Solet and Vásquez can both be starters and fee should be around 20 mil. Tomiyasu can be brought as replacement for Darmian, same as him can cover every position in defence and he’s 9 years younger.
RB: If we want to replace Dumfries, Mingueza (Celta) would be a good choice, on expiring contract, fee should be 15-20mil. Problem is nobody wants Dumfries, and considering he wanted release clause we should sell by next year. Otherwise good, young backups with room to grow are Zanotti(Lugano), Read(Feyenoord), Baum(Eintracht).
LB: Miranda(Bologna) shoulbe up to 20 mil. I would buy him considering we don’t have real left back, both Dimarco and Zalewski are liability in defence.
CM: Frendrup(Genoa) and Bernabé(Parma) are both up to 20mil, both are upgrade over Asllani. Taylor(Ajax) is priced around 30 mil, and i think he can be good for us as Barella is.
AM: Instead of Lookman i would go for Harvey Elliott, priced 30-40mil, big resale value, can cover cm,am,rw.
Wingers: Lookman is maybe pricey for us, considering we need reinforcement in other areas also. Orsolini is good also, same year born, cheaper 20 mil, and last 3 years delivered consistently for Bologna. I read somewhere that Kang-in Lee is unhappy over his playing time in psg, so a good option for us, around 30 mil, younger than Lookman.
Next season bring back Carboni and A. Stankovic to fight for starting place.
