Cagliari are set to wrap up a deal for Inter Milan striker Sebastiano Esposito after a bidding war with Parma over the last few days.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. They report that the Rossoblu will pay Inter a fee of €4.5 million plus a 40% sell-on fee.

The last few days have seen a surprisingly intense transfer battle for Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito.

Inter have always wanted to finally sell the 23-year-old this summer after a long series of loan moves.

A few comes have come forward with interest. But this week, it came down to two.

Cagliari seemingly made a decisive push in renewed talks. However, Parma then returned with their own offer, which was superior.

In the tug-of-war of the last few days, both Cagliari and Parma have seemingly had the advantage to sign Esposito at times.

However, FCInterNews report that Cagliari have finally reached a full agreement with Inter.

Meanwhile, Esposito himself is reportedly keen on the switch to the Roissoblu.

FCIN report that Cagliari will sign Esposito outright, rather than on loan.

The Sardinians will pay Inter a fee of €4.5 million for the striker. And furthermore, Inter will receive 40% of future resale.
