Ivan Zazzaroni says that it “seems Atalanta want to sell Ademola Lookman for the same price as Teun Kopmeiners.”
The Corriere dello Sport editor gave his thoughts on the transfer saga involving Inter’s efforts to sign Lookman, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are still plugging away in their efforts to sign Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
The Nerazzurri had by all accounts hoped to wrap up a deal quickly for the Nigerian international. However, that is far from what has actually happened.
If anything, Inter’s pursuit of Lookman has virtually become the transfer soap opera of the summer in Serie A.
And in this sense there are parallels to last summer. Twelve months ago, Atalanta and Juventus were embroiled in a bitter struggle over the transfer of midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.
Zazzaroni: “Seems Atalanta Want Same Price For Lookman As Koopmeiners”

Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni reports that sources close to Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi “claim he’s willing to sell the Nigerian for the same price Juventus paid for Teun Koopmeiners.”
In other words, “€52 million, plus €6 million in add-ons over four years.”
“But these are just speculations,” Zazzaroni reports.
“Lookman is holding firm. Developments will be forthcoming, whichever direction they go in.”
Zazzaroni adds that “Marotta is waiting for the official price tag. If he ever gets it.”
€50 million is already too much.
Inter should go for Leoni, De Winter and Frendup immediately, then see what else is possible.
Atalanta will be left with a extremely bitter player. Inter should drop their offer to €30 million!
I noticed Monaco counter attacking a lot. Basically Chivu has announced the type of football he wants to play – less controlled, less possession oriented, with one less Midfielder and one extra striker/winger. We need fast defenders and one really strong defensive midfielder that can take on the huge workload expected of that player. That being said we could also get Lookman and one defender and be a bit unbalanced and I would still be happy. At the moment the way pre season is going Bonny on the left and Thuram on the right behind Lautaro seems like a great starting line up. It is the waiting game for Lookman that really sucks, throw the 50 at them and if they don’t bite move on, the time killing is hurting both clubs transfer window.
That’s y we can’t break down defence
always signing average players, signing Lookman will be exceptionally competitive in our attack
