After missing out on the Scudetto title last season, Inter Milan will be looking to roar back in style in 2025/26, and regain their throne.

Inter Milan Have Squad Built for War

Inter’s spine looks formidable. Lautaro Martinez up front—little man, big heart—and a midfield anchored by Nicolò Barella. Under the guidance of their newly appointed coach, Cristian Chivu, the back-line, anchored by Alessandro Bastoni’s cool leadership, looks formidable.

Honestly, watching them in training feels like peeking into a military parade; precision, discipline… but with flair.

Their total market value sits closer to €720-725 million, making them one of Europe’s priciest squads. And that average age? A sprightly 28.3 years—enough experience to stay steady in crunch moments, yet youthful enough to chase down every loose ball.

Yet – and here’s the rub – that can cut both ways. Young legs can tire. Veteran minds can rust. Remember that post-holiday sluggishness on matchday one? You bet.

Inter Milan’s Form & Momentum

In the 2023/24, Inter Milan clinched the Scudetto with a masterclass in consistency: only a handful of slip-ups across 38 punishing fixtures. They’ve shown they can absorb pressure, but glory breeds targets. Every opponent smells blood when they see the Nerazzurri’s badge.

Last season, the Nerazzurri were the favourite to retain the title. However, Napoli pipped them to the golden trophy in the final stretch.

The Manager’s Dilemma

Chivu’s first full season in the hot seat with the senior squad promises excitement. He’s tactical, yes, but will he flex or fold when games go scrappy?

There’s a touch of uncertainty—should he stick with a high press that’s served him well, or switch to a deep-block conservatism when the going gets tough?

It’s a balancing act. Too bold, and you get caught on the break. Too cautious, and you invite the storm.

Can he blend that Milan-born arrogance with Appiano Gentile’s meticulous planning? Personally, we’re tipping a bit of swagger. After all, they brought in Hakan Çalhanoğlu a few seasons back to sprinkle magic from range—he’s still that kind of wildcard.

Betting Buzz: A Heads-Up

If you’re scanning a football betting site with Serie A title odds, say Lottoland, you’ll see Inter usually hover among the top three favourites. Sure, odds aren’t destiny, but they hint at confidence from the sharp money. Just be wary: the market can shift faster than Milan traffic jams on a rainy day.

Home Comfort vs. Away Angst: Can They Do It?

San Siro roars louder than most—a classic home field advantage that turns nerves into adrenaline. That fortress vibe gave Inter enough points to laugh off mid-season blues. Away? Not so rosy. Some nervy draws, a rare loss in Verona, and the odd wobble in Florence… But hey, what champion doesn’t trip over their shoelaces now and then?

Look, I’ll avoid the robotic optimism. It’s tight. Exceptionally tight. But there’s a certain love-it-or-hate-it confidence around this group. They feel like a family ready to roll up sleeves and scrap for every point. If injuries don’t pile up and the new signings gel quickly, I’d say they’ve got a fighting shot.

Why not pour yourself a coffee, settle in front of the big screen, and see how it unfolds? And after the final whistle—win, lose or draw—come back and tell us what you think. Did Inter have what it takes?
