Tomas Palacios and Davide Frattesi are the only two players out of the Inter Milan squad for tomorrow’s friendly match against Olympiacos.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Palacios will be absent for transfer-related reasons.
Inter Milan will face Greek giants Olympiacos in a friendly match tomorrow. It will be the Nerazzurri’s final warm-up match of preseason.
Inter begin their Serie A season next Monday with a match against Torino.
Therefore, Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu will be keen to use this final opportunity to sharpen up his squad for the challenges ahead.
Palacios & Frattesi The Only Two Players Out Of Inter Squad Vs Olympiacos
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Chivu will largely have a full squad at his disposal.
However, one notable exception will be defender Tomas Palacios.
The 23-year-old is expected to leave Inter this summer. He is close to completing a loan move to Basel.
Therefore, there would be little reason for Palacios to participate in tomorrow’s match, not least considering the risk of jeopardizing his loan to Basel.
Meanwhile, Davide Frattesi will also be absent. The Italian international is still recovering from abdominal surgery. He will not be back in full training for a few more days.
