Roma have reportedly firmly rejected Inter Milan’s offer for midfielder Manu Kone.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews.
Yesterday, news emerged that Inter Milan are interested in Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
The Frenchman has come into the Nerazzurri’s sights as a reinforcement in holding midfield.
Reports indicate that Inter have been ready to put a bid of around €45 million on the table.
Roma Reject Inter Offer For Manu Kone

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, however, Roma have firmly rejected Inter’s offer.
The Giallorossi have taken some time to consider the bid. And they have decided that they do not want to sell Kone this summer.
Therefore, Inter will not pursue the matter any further, Di Marzio anticipates.
The Nerazzurri had looked at Kone as a possible opportunity if they could sign the 24-year-old for a certain price. However, they are not going to break the bank and continue bidding.
Accordingly, Inter will look to reconsider their plans over the last couple weeks of the summer transfer window, reports Di Marzio.
Guys, you’re seeing a quieter activity because inter ideliberately pacing themselves. They’ve already spent significantly but must balance the book and maybe wait to sell before spending again.
They did reinforce earlier in the window: sucic 14mil, Henrique 23mil and bonny 23m – Noticable, but not game-changing mega signings.
Inter can’t pursue lookman and kone simultaneously without offloading assets. It’s not lack of desire, its a mix of caution and necessity.
@tariq. thank you for your observation. but some will not listen.
It seems stupid when the defence is literally breaking down and just one injury away from a full blown crisis in defence. Pavard is never fit, Acerbi is not someone you can rely to stay fit same with DeVrij. Then Bisseck is not someone to be trusted in defense despite a lot of potential leaving only Bastoni who can’t play full 90 mins let alone a series of matches because he’s more of deep lying linking defence and attack. Augusto, Darmian and Dimarco are not defenders just cover ups. Someone with half a brain cell can realise this is the weakpoint at Inter and it’s not a matter of if the crisis will happen in defence but when and for how many times if things stay the same. Inter need 3 NEW DEFENDERS not 1 or 2 but 3 yet who has been bought in defence: NONE… It not about balancing the books but just pure stupidity at the highest level. Im the biggest fan of getting Lookman and he will 100% improve Inter’s attack but the fact is it will be less than 10 competitive matches before a full blown defensive crisis is observed which will be one out of many. So why just get defenders who are even just young enough to play the full 90 minutes without risking a season ending injury.
People expect six signings and get disappointed when it doesn’t happen. Everybody calm down and let’s wait until the end of the transfer window.
what a joke club we are, broke, without ideas, strategy, too many starters over 35…
@bob. Inter refused to spend heavily this summer due of our new U23 team. They feel some player will emerge from our un23 program next season. That is why we did not buy Leoni, and no other big club in Seria did either. take it easy on management.
Ok does this mean Inter will finally sign defenders. Or maybe just terminate Asllani contract that way the transfer would be actually be a success…. imagine the space his departure might leave space for actual players who are decent enough to play there. If none happens then this would be by far the worst transfer so far. Inter seems can only get players if they spent months negotiating which means losing out on key players even if they agree to join Inter. The reason is not that hard to figure out. Inter current owners just don’t want to spend on building the team so if any prospect costs any money that’s considered significant then they can’t get them.
It seems that they will buy a CB only if Pavard is sold.
what a comedy lol now go for the cheap ones just like i said before they’ll waste the entire summer just to go for cheap ones lol…see y’all on 26/27
goodbye inter. see you next summer 26/27.
i am tired of this shit and I will come back when season starts.
I give up….
Oh my Goodness what’s going on here.
Inzaghi saw the writing on the wall. lol
of course they did, I bet we came with our usual beggars offer.
it’s gotten pitiful at this point
we can’t pull off a single meaningful big signing
Not breaking news…..Inter is not able to buy anyone due to Oaktree and other clubs selling to high. Additionally, no team wants our players either.
I smell collusion in Serie A against Inter
definitely seems like that
Other clubs will always sell for high that’s just business but a valid point is because of OAKTREE have no intention of building the team and only want to sell to the highest bidder so why waste money.
no collision.
it’s in fact because EVERYONE knows we earned $250milion this season and that we have money to burn so as soon as Inter comes in with an offer the players value triples because the selling club wants to take as much of our money as possible.
i wonder if we will do anything meaningful this transfer market
of course we did!!! Lookman soap opera!!!!!!!!!
