Al-Hilal have reportedly agreed a contract with a Sporting Director from a “top European club” fuelling Piero Ausilio rumours.
This according to Saudi football reporter Hamad Al-Suwaihi, who reports in a tweet that the club will make the appointment official after the summer transfer window.
Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal have already brought in one huge name from Inter Milan.
At the start of June, the gulf state club appointed Simone Inzaghi as coach. The 49-year-old stepped down from Inter after four years at the helm.

And now, Al-Hilal have been trying to bring in another notable name from Inter.
They have reportedly been chasing Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio to head up their sporting operations.

According to Saudi football reporter Hamad Al-Suwaihi, Al-Hilal have found their new Sporting Director.
He does not identify who it would be.
However, according to Al-Suwaihi, the appointment will become official after the European transfer window closes.
And therefore this is fuelling the rumours regarding the possibility that it could be Inter Milan Sporting Director Piero Ausilio

We really need to start again with our scouting. If our strategy is finding younger players (even though in practice our starting 11 is the same as last year) we need to improve our scouting tenfold like RM/Chelsea/Barca, even the Portuguese teams, these teams have elite scouting and finding players before they make it to the top teams. Ausilio has had a long enough period to get this right and he hasn’t. Time for a change for all parties.

This was the reason why we had an amateur summer transfer campaign. There is no reason for him to see out the last few weeks if this is true as his mind is already somewhere else, we had this same issue with Inzaghi before the Uefa final where he already had his mind in Saudi and pretended as if he wasn’t distracted by the rumors of him leaving. The saudis might just take Marotta with him and we can truly start afresh if this is true.
Ausilio is top sporting director. He should stay in Inter.
It is hard to find new player who can upgrade this quality squad of Inter.
He’s been negotiating with the Arabs while still being under contract at Inter at a crucial transfer interval. Let’s bring someone better. He has never been good in his role.

I really hope this is true. Theres been more fuck ups and missing out talents than finding jewels. Sure he got good us players in the 10 years he was with Inter but I think it was not enough and I do want to see some changes in how our transfer is processed.
