Davide Frattesi is one step away from returning from injury, and looks set to sign a new contract with Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908.
It has been a rollercoaster few months for Davide Frattesi at Inter Milan.
The 25-year-old had played a key role for the Nerazzurri in the knockout rounds of the Champions League. He scored important goals against both Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
However, Frattesi did not play in the final against Paris Saint-Germain. This reportedly caused a faceoff between he and coach Simone Inzaghi.
That all but confirmed that Frattesi would be departing Inter this summer.

And in the meantime, Frattesi has also been dealing with lingering physical problems.
The former Sassuolo midfielder underwent surgery this summer to correct an abdominal hernia.
This had been plaguing Frattesi over the final few weeks of last season. However, he delayed the treatment and gritted his teeth for the run-in of the season.
Frattesi was unable to take part at the Club World Cup, though.
Now, however, Frattesi is ready to return. He could be back in time for Inter’s Serie A opener against Torino next Monday.
