Mehdi Taremi says that he “could still stay at Inter Milan” this summer despite strong transfer links during the window.
The Iranian spoke while with the Iran national team for their 3-1 win over Afghanistan, via FCInterNews. He opened up about his future.
Olympiacos have been pushing to try and sign Inter striker Mehdi Taremi before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Greek giants are far from the only team to show an interest in Taremi this summer.
Leeds United and Fulham have shown an interest in bringing the 33-year-old to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Ligue 1 side Lille have also come forward. As have Serie A new boys Sassuolo.
Botafogo and Flamengo had already tried to bring Taremi to Brazil. However, the 33-year-old has made clear that he prefers to stay in Europe.

In the last week or so, all of PSV, Panathanaikos, Olympiacos, and Lyon have all made approaches to sign Taremi.
In the case of Olympiacos, the Athens-based club have already reached an agreement with Inter on a transfer.
However, Taremi himself stated that “I have a contract with Inter, so I could still stay in Milan.”
“Everything will depend on how certain situations involve,” he added.
“There’s a great relationship between me and the club. And we’re in talks daily to find the best solution for everyone involved.”

Agreed! Mehdi Taremi has a proven record of goals and assists wherever he has been and he is one of the best strikers in the world. He has not been treated well at Inter and if he did not have the injury and would have been given more playing time when healthy, he would have scored many goals. The new coaches, management, and the inter fans are out of their minds if they expect a player scores many goals in his first season when has had injury and limited playing time. Mehdi is a caliber player and that’s why there are many teams are after him. I hope he goes to the premier league where he belongs; otherwise, stay at inter and get your salary regardless of playing or not. Keep up the good work! Inter would not have won
