Wingback Denzel Dumfries went from top top flop in the space of ten minutes in Inter Milan’s Serie A loss to Udinese.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Denzel Dumfries was in the Inter Milan starting eleven for yesterday’s Serie A match against Udinese.
The 29-year-old played his part as the Nerazzurri got the match off to a bright start.
And it was Dumfries who gave Inter the reward for their high tempo first quarter of an hour. He scored the opener in the seventeenth minute.
Seeing Dumfries on the scoresheet has become a familiar sight for Inter. The Dutchman has become one of the Nerazzurri’s biggest goal threats by far.

However, Inter’s lead was not to last. And it was Dumfries who played the decisive role in it evaporating.
The former PSV wingback clumsily handled the ball inside his own penalty area.
This led to the spot kick from which Keinan Davis equalized for Udinese.
Therefore, it was a match in which the best and worst attributes just about cancelled each other out for Inter.
Notably, though, Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu did not decide to take Dumfries off at any point. This was perhaps indicative of a lack of trust in the Dutchman’s main backup Luis Henrique.
Asllani was better than Bisseck except for defending, but they put him as the anchor of the team which isn’t his natural position hoping he could be better. Meanwhile Bisseck is natural defender and plays like shit, but we still keep him. instead of focusing on the another midfielder like diouf who’s unknown to many people, we could just keep asllani and put him as vice mkhi, sell bisseck and get new defender. bisseck costed too many points by himself last season and we almost never see barca and PSG because of him. if we said asllani ain’t inter material, bisseck is much worse.
thank god we didn’t sell pavard though he isn’t good as he was, but is far better than this kid with “potential”. he talks much on media, but proves nothing on the field
100% agree Bisecck is now a proven failure and the new deadweight. He seems not to get better with time by making similar error over and over again. He was given a pass simply because he was new but now it’s clear he’s a liability when used in key moments
Inter should just not use him in defence but rather as a defensive midfield player. He has the ball control to do it but as a defender he’s not suited for it
