Inter Milan and Man City have agreed a deal potentially worth €16 million for Manuel Akanji.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio. He reports in a tweet that it will be a €1 million paid loan deal with a €15 million conditional purchase obligation,
In the last remaining hours of the transfer window, Inter have identified Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji as a transfer target.
The 30-year-old is set to leave City this summer. The Premier League giants have been working to trim their squad this summer, particularly in defense.

AC Milan had already tried to sign Akanji. However, the Swiss international wants to play in the Champions League this season, and therefore has rejected their offer.
Di Marzio – Inter & Man City Agree Potential €16M Deal For Manuel Akanji

One possibility that has emerged is that Inter could sign Akanji to replace Benjamin Pavard, who is still a target for Marseille.
However, according to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Pavard leaving wouldn’t necessarily have to happen for Akanji to arrive.
Di Marzio reports that Inter and Manchester City have already agreed a deal.
The Sky transfer expert anticipates that the Nerazzurri will sign Akanji on an initial loan deal. This will come with a loan fee of €1 million.
Then, Di Marzio reports, there will be a purchase option in the deal. Furthermore, this would become an obligation in the event that Inter win the Serie A title.
This will make Akanji Inter’s fifth signing of the summer, after Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, Ange-Yoan Bonny, and Andy Diouf.
guys. pavard have some fitness issue.
dimarco, who gets sub out almost every match at 60th minute clocked more minutes than Pavard.
hell, even De Vrij played more than Pavard.
please tell me why we need a player who can’t play week in week out, if he is that good?
by comparision, bastoni clocked almost 50% more minutes played than Pavard (3900 mins vs 2600 mins).
Bisseck should be sold.
In other news, Juve bought Lois Openda for around 40 mln. Fast, dribbling skills, link-up play and proven quality. And we bought unproven Bonny for 25 mln. lol
Hey i think we should sell bisseck (maybe to the pl) in January use that money for solet and keep pavard maybe even goo for another defender with solet since bisseck can go around 32-40 mil
He might not be worth that in January lol
I think Inter needs to now keep Pavard. No need to sell him when the current defence is very limited in many ways. Akanji surely adds to the defence but keeping Pavard is crucial because we all know who will be playing when Pavard leaves [Bisseck]
quality signing if he can stay fit and that is a big if, plus leaves money in the bank for Solet if he’s available in January after court case. We really need a dependable quality deep midfielder and who has pace, good close ball control and able to beat someone to complete the team for now. Our buildup needs massive improvement.
Skriniar would be much much better candidate for CB role.
f*ck skriniar.
In 2017 yes, but not in 2025.
