Marseille are set to sign defender Benjamin Pavard on loan from Inter Milan, covering the player’s full wages.

With just a few hours left before the transfer window closes, Marseille have made their move for Inter defender Benjamin Pavard.
Pavard has been linked with a few clubs this summer, with Inter reportedly willing to sell the Frenchman.
Turkish champions Galatasaray reportedly are keen on Pavard. Then, Neom have not hid their interest in bringing the 29-year-old to the Saudi Pro League.
Furthermore, the possibility of a move back to Ligue 1 has also emerged.
Lille have withdrawn their interest, as they consider a move for Pavard to be too expensive.
However, another French team could bring Pavard back to his homeland. Marseille are keen to make one more big defensive reinforcement before the transfer window closes.

Inter and Marseille have reached a full agreement for Pavard.
The French club will sign the 29-year-old on an initial season-long loan deal.
In addition, there will also be a purchase option worth €15 million next summer.

Can’t believe this. Pavard is a much better defender and even though he hasnt scored yet hes a better attacking threat. The injuries are a concern but i still trust him over Bisseck. Bisseck cant be trusted to hold down the right side. Bisseck cost yesterday’s game. I hope something happens and the deal cant get finalized

Horrible news. Remember Pavard is still a great defender and should play whenever possible, plus he’s a World Cup winner and plays in France NT.
To get rid of him and keep bisseck is madness. This stupid decision will cost us mainy points this season. Akanji is good but he does not play much as a RCB like Pavard.
I do hate this too, but if this really happens, nothing we can do, but hoping bisseck gets better. I’m already done with him. I remember he made headlines many times showing off, but he played like shit and did nothing while the whole team carried him. he looks like middle team player for me. he has been training with top defenders for couple years, but hasn’t improved significantly.
the only thing I can think of why inter keep him instead of pavard is his wage and availability for the call up. other than those, the declining pavard is still superior than him
This transfer makes no sense to me specifically since it’s a loan for Pavard.
To keep bisseck means we play him which means many errors and points dropped.
If you don’t improve after 2 years then you won’t improve at all.

I won’t say that since there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. Maybe Chivu asked for Akanji because of the formation he was attempting to play, or perhaps Pavard requested the transfer. Also, we have a lot of players that will be departing for free next season, so I think we should give the management a chance.
