Inter Milan have the top wage bill in Serie A for the 2025-26 season, with Juventus and Napoli next in line.
This according to Italian outlet Calcio e Finanza. The Nerazzurri’s wage bill for the campaign weighs in at €141.5 million gross per season.
In recent seasons, Inter have been making efforts to slash their wage bill.
That was obviously the case during the club’s financial difficulties in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown.
However, the efforts have continued even as the financial situation has stabilized.
Inter owners Oaktree Capital have authorized a summer of relatively big spending in the transfer market.
However, at the same time, the club have largely signed young players who have had relatively low wages.
Inter Wage Bill The Highest In Serie A – Juventus & Napoli Next In Line

At the same time, Inter’s Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus have went to even greater lengths to lower their wage bill.
The Bianconeri had the highest wage bill in Serie A for a long period. However, for the past couple of seasons, they have dipped below Inter.
Inter’s wage bill for the 2025-26 season is €141.5 million gross per season.
Meanwhile, for Juventus that figure is €123.1 million gross per season.
Coming in third in the rankings are reigning champions Napoli. Their wage bill is €110 million gross per season.
Bravo Niko, they deserve the recognition.
I agree with everything written, modern football is focused only on goals and assists, and then hardworking guys fall in behind.
Lauti highest at 11.93%, Barella 8.62%, Chala 7.95% top 3. Zielinski is amazingly 5.96% which definitely is too high, Miki is 3.49% which is not even top 10…. De Vrij is 5%. For me, to those who contributed a lot in our titles, I have no complaint. Maybe just Zielinski is a bit higher than his contribution.
No wonder Lautaro loves inter lol..
I mean… is he willing to lower his wage in the next contract extension? That is when we found out the true feeling of a player..
That’s why clubs are pushing their youths to grow and become first team players or rotations. It’s cheaper. Just look at example Pio and Bonny. Bonny isn’t any better than Pio, little older but while Pio has 1 mil, Bonny has 2 mil wage (plus what’s paid for his transfer). Good thing next year there will be Carboni and A. Stankovic also, and maybe someone else step up from youth to be good enough as a sub at least. Akinsanmiro, Topalovic, Cocchi, Berenbruch, hopefully grew enough in 2 years to be in 25-man team, Akinsanmiro maybe even next year if he explodes in Pisa.
De Vrij, Zielinski, Hakan and Mhiki are players who have too high wage for their form and importance to the team.
Miki is not even high enough. No one ever sees what the mids are doing unless they score. Was cambiasso also overrated. Conte? Pep? Xabi? They were all dms that did the dirty work and never got the recognition they deserved as players. But somehow became captains. There is a lot of work that is done on the pitch that ppl dont see with untrained eye. Miki is instrumental. That polish dude is just a leech.
Mhiki of 2 seasons ago was instrumental, last season, after winter started to show that he lost pace, this season start also show that he’s not able to play the whole game. He’s alright for 5th or 6th option, but not major role in team. And those kind of players who are backup, who enters to slow the game, save the advantage and similar, have around 2 mil per year. Contacts are made that younger player are given step by step raise in salary, and certain players over 32, 33 year get cuts in salary after each year, as their minutes go down. At least that’s how it is supposed to be. We need some quality players in their best years like Bastoni, leave a couple older players as solid backups. This summer maybe we didn’t get enough quality players, but it’s not as bad as when we gave massive wages to players past their zenith, like Vidal, Sanchez…
I agree with the point in general, but Miki isn’t fit to lace Cambiassos boots!!
yeah but inter cant afford player like cambiasso either haha. at least heis cheap
