Firstly, in today’s episode on SempreInter.com, Gianmarco and Alessandro discuss, analyze and debate all aspects of the 2-0 win.
Inter fielded their strongest team. In fact only Lautaro Martinez was rested. This was due to not wanting to risk him due to injury.
Therefore, it was no surprise that Marcus Thuram headed a corner to break the deadlock in the 42nd minute. The corner by Hakan Calhanoglu was great.
The half ended with the Nerazzurri in the lead.

my only concern is how the target man set. thuram was set instead of him who has better physical advantage and when thuram is paired with lauti, it’s lauti who’s the one to be target man instead of thuram. this is stupid. no wonder why we see 6 months of dreadful from lauti every season. put him back to his natural position and role. thuram was originally a winger so he wants more space to work with so use him to drop deep instead of lauti. there’s a reason why lauti can be paired with anyone in inter, because he works well as goal scorer
He was actually doing all he can to prove to the coach that he can be relied upon even tho he knows Chivu already worked with him in the youth squad. It was very clear to see he was giving his all and I expect he will now be used more often.
Actually thinking how Arna used to act when given the chance to play. Pio performance was a breath of fresh air
