Inter Milan’s faith in youngster Pio Esposito dissuaded them from meeting Atalanta’s demands for Ademola Lookman.

As was recalled by today’s edition of the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FcInterNews, the youngster signed a new deal with Inter in the summer.

Now, he appears to be the club’s third choice striker behind elite forward Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

In fact, the availability of the young forward was what reportedly convinced the club to give up on Atalanta star Ademola Lookman.

Inter made a move to sign Lookman in the summer.

However, the club refused to meet La Dea’s demands for the player.

Atalanta demanded €50 million for the Nigerian but Inter refused to pay this fee.

Instead, the player stayed in Bergamo whilst Inter decided to put the faith in youngster Pio Esposito to complete their attack this season.

Pio Esposito played for Inter in their 2-0 win against Ajax on Wednesday and impressed greatly with his work rate.
