A group of Atalanta fans have hung a banner outside the club’s training ground calling Ademola Lookman “ungrateful” as he returns to La Dea after a failed summer move to Inter Milan.

Inter made an attempt to sign the Nigerian forward in the summer.

However, the Nerazzurri refused to meet Atalanta’s demands of €50 million for the former Fulham man.

Instead, the club put their faith in youngster Francesco Pio Esposito as an alternate option for their attack this season.

As has been revealed by journalist Alessandro Giovanni Pagliarini on X, the banner reads “11 Reinstated… But for us you remain ungrateful.”

The ‘Old Guard’ group of Atalanta fans took responsibility for the banner.

This comes on the eve of the match between La Dea and Torino.

Atalanta travel to Turin tomorrow to take on Marco Baroni’s side.

Lookman could return to the starting XI against Torino, in what would be his first start since summer’s transfer saga.
