Inter Milan summer signing Luis Henrique came off the bench today to play 25 minutes in his side’s 2-1 win against Sassuolo.

The Nerazzurri won the game thanks to a goal from Federico Dimarco and an own goal deflected in from a Carlos Augusto effort.

Luis Henrique, who joined the club from Marseille in the summer, came on for Denzel Dumfries in the 65th minute.

The Brazilian did, however, give a good account of himself in his cameo.

Speaking to the press after the game, with quotes via FCInterNews, the Brazilian said he is “very happy, I worked hard to get these minutes.”

Inter got the three points in the end but Sassuolo made life difficult for them in the closing stages.

“We slowed down after their goal,” the Brazilian confessed, “but the important thing was to get the three points.”

The former Marseille man was then asked which position he sees himself best but he stayed humble, “Just playing is enough, I’m focused on giving my all.”

The winger described his new club Inter as “a very strong team, with quality. Last season they had the chance to win many trophies.”

The Brazilian concluded with some kind words about his old club Marseille:

“It’s a team that is close to my heart. I have many friends there. I’m happy for the team, I’ll always be a fan.”

Luis Henrique signed for Inter on a five-year deal from Marseille in June.

The Nerazzurri reportedly paid the Ligue 1 side €25 million, plus €3 million in add-ons, for the 23-year-old.
