Inter Milan have reportedly identified Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier as a potential replacement for Yann Sommer.
According to TEAMtalk via FCInterNews, the Italian giants consider the Frenchman could arrive at San Siro as early as January.
Meslier has fallen out of favor at Elland Road after several sloppy mistakes during their promotion-winning campaign last term.
Indeed, manager Daniel Farke prefers Lucas Perri over the 25-year-old.
Therefore, the Whites are open to selling their out-of-favor stopper this winter.
Inter Milan Identify Illan Meslier as Yann Sommer Replacement

Yann Sommer will likely leave San Siro at the end of the season.
His contract expires next summer, with the club reluctant to offer him a new deal.
Therefore, the Serie A titans are in the market for a new goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, Josep Martinez could overtake the Swiss veteran in the pecking order for the rest of the season.
As for Meslier, Inter cannot afford to waste time. Indeed, the French ace has a host of admirers in Europe.
Galatasaray, Rangers, Fiorentina, Como, Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor, and Rennes are also in the mix.
Marotta and Inter management only throwing away the futures of martinez, bastoni and barella. If I was them I would leave becuz clearly Inter management have lost their way. From Diouf to whoever it is becoming a shit show now.
I tell you what… All you people who seem to hate on J. Martinez, despite the fact that he has been nothing other than really good whenever he’s played, will be in for a treat if this guy comes in!! He is shite with a capital SHITE!! More errors than Onana at UTD, no command over his defence whatsoever, and looks like a little boy lost stood in the middle of his goal!! You all better pray that Martinez gets his chance to establish himself this season….
Not me. I wanted Martinez to start last season instead of Sommer.
I’m not for Meslier, but i also think we can do better than Martinez. Diogo Costa, Svilar or Kobel are the most realistic option, but even they are expensive for us. We can get Svilar only if we time our offer with Roma’s deadline ffp. Carnessecchi and Caprile are about the same level as Martinez.
Don’t get me wrong Martinez did have solid performances, but he just doesn’t give confidence like our previous gks. Handanovic, Julio Cesar, Onana was in top 5 when he played for us, Sommer (excluding start of this season and last couple of games in last season and clubs championship).
in video games, I’d take kobel like you said, but caprice seems good probably a bit better than josep. actually the name you mentioned all are and were first team choice GKs. josep could be good too if he had given more chances. sommer is the only aging player I’d like to drop off since last year. he already showed declining from last season though he was solid against barca which covered up all his bad forms whole season, the way he sees the ball past him reminds me of old handa and it’s the clear sign he needs to be replaced. I’m waiting for chivu to be brave and make changes drastically that suit him cause until he’s no different than any others his predecessors who wouldn’t wanna mess with what’s built for years
