Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta has ruled out the possibility of pursuing Real Madrid megastar Kylian Mbappe.
Speaking to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, Marotta also delivered his verdict on the club’s purchase of San Siro.
Last night, the Milan City Council approved the sale of the stadium and the surrounding areas to AC Milan and Inter.
Therefore, the Serie A giants can now embark on their ambitious project.
Indeed, they will demolish the old stadium and design a brand-new, state-of-the-art arena.
However, construction will not begin before 2027, with the opening expected to take place in 2031.
Building a new stadium has been Oaktree’s long-term wish.
The American fund sees it as the key to boosting Inter’s revenues, global profile, and long-term stability.
Despite receiving a long-awaited approval, the project will face major challenges, including large-scale construction.
As such, Marotta expects a ‘tough journey.’
Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta Downplays Kylian Mbappe ‘Madness’

Inter set a new revenue record in Serie A, recording a profit for the first time in 15 years.
“We closed the first positive balance sheet in Inter’s history, with record revenues for an Italian club,” Marotta said. “These revenues must become structural to ensure consistent profitability.
“The main goal of a club is to achieve financial and economic sustainability while also delivering quality sporting results.
“We’ve managed it so far, with extraordinary revenues. That’s our model and our target this season too.”
Then, he admitted that Inter’s financial stability doesn’t mean they will splash out insane figures on players like Mbappe.
“A deal like that would be madness for an Italian club. In Italy, we can’t afford such operations. In the past, world-class stars came here early in their careers.
“Now, we see someone like Modric, but only at the end of his.
“Serie A is in transition. We can’t make massive signings, but we must focus on enhancing our product.
“Investing in young players pays off and can guarantee the same results.”
Marotta on San Siro

Finally, Marotta explained his complicated feelings about the San Siro decision.
“It was a very troubled decision, but we’re happy and satisfied,” he stated. “I say this as Inter’s president, a football lover, and a citizen of Milan.
“Now begins a difficult, demanding journey. We have Dr. Ralph, who’s very well prepared, and Milan have Scaroni.
“They will certainly lead this project to satisfaction. Having a stadium in Milan for Inter and Milan was a top priority.
“I want to reassure everyone because Inter and Milan act transparently and in the public interest.
“The stadium will be a heritage not only for the clubs but also for the city.
“It will bring jobs and tourism. Our goal is to work for the good of Milan’s community.”
we can’t buy Mbappe and we’re not investing in young players also so what’s our future that’s why I admired Morratti so much he bought Ronaldo when Ronaldo was best player in the world
the fact is that none of the players we bought during the recent transfer window is worth a starting place in their respective positions, except for a forced reinforcement, Akanji. In addition we still don’t know what’s Diouf’ position, neither does he. The season is long, we are still mostly encountering minnows both in the league and in the UEFA championship, except for Juve,to which we lost.
can’t wait to get into the new stadium. the future is bright!
When the stadium is built, finished AND we play our first game there..: then I will celebrate.
Until then everything is speculation, we have to waited far too long and we still have to share the stadium with our rivals which I despise but at least we get a stadium to co-own, if true.
In beppe we trust. Haters – stfu. Inter is marotta. Dont like it – go suck a lemon
they must be new fans or inter trolls. theres noway someone could deny marottas great work as a director and now with owned stadium we will surely have some financial powers and stability. the most annoying thing was selling a great player from the core to finance rebuilding the team.
hopeful that this phase is over
Without Marotta we were buying belfodils and hussain kharjas. People don’t remember, or at least new fans don’t know.
U a bum! That man doesn’t care whether inter wins or not he just want to make his fkn american handlers happy with money !!!! If that man brought the 2 players Inzhagi wanted 3 years ago u would have beaten city in the final and won the champions league !!! That man watched Lookman stay where he doesn’t want to! He watched a top young Italian defender the Parma guy leave to Liverpool for 38 million! A bargain for an 18 years old guy which people think he can become the new Nesta !!!! That man is the main reason Inter didn’t win a champions league !!!! stfu u bum !!! Keep trusting this dude. I guess that’s why Milan has 7 championships league and played in 11-12 champions league finals and inter only has 3
well at least we play at champion league, see how our neighbour , they buy buy but dont play at european championship, how do you think if inter win champion league and then enter dark era like before
comparing apple to oranges i see.
Milan has 7 UCLs and 11-12 finals appearance way before Marotta joins Inter.
How many Europe competitions finals appearance both team has After Marotta joins?
Milan 0 – 3 Inter.
Its always easy to say we can spend money without restraint to get any player, but do you know something? Inter just posted a profit for the first time in 15 fricking years. a miserable profit of 30m+ euros.
Are you a troll or something, the reason why we are where we are now and not where is bilan, is Marotta, without him we would’ve been in serie B.
but he bought Inzaghi lover CORREA for FUCKING 30mlns , when he was not worth that much at all, but Lazio robbed us and Inzaghi was stubborn, we have Thuram agreed, but Inzaghi said Thuram is more injury prone, I want CORREA!!!!!!
That bargain for 38mlns tear his ACL and will be out for a year and people almost never recover fully after such injury! Maybe Marotta knew he had injury problems, no Italian team made an offer!! Dont you think Italian teams have inside info, who Liverpool doesnt??
