Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu has decided to start Ange-Yoan Bonny in attack against Cremonese alongside captain Lautaro Martinez. This evening’s Serie A Matchday 6 clash kicks off at 18:00 CET at San Siro.
Inter welcome the Grigiorossi to their home ground aiming to build on strong momentum in both Serie A and the Champions League.
The Nerazzurri come into the game following their 2-0 victory away at Cagliari and their midweek triumph against Slavia Prague in Europe.
Meanwhile, Cremonese arrive still unbeaten in the league and are searching for another statement result away from home.
Davide Nicola’s side beat Milan at San Siro in their opening match of the season.
Chivu has a nearly full squad available, though Marcus Thuram misses out through injury.
His opposite number, Nicola, is expected to line up with a compact shape and look to hit Inter on the counterattack.
Inter Milan Vs Cremonese – Bonny Starts As Chivu Keeps Faith In Lautaro Martinez

Firstly, all eyes are on the Inter attack.
With Marcus Thuram sidelined by a muscle issue, Chivu has chosen to hand Ange-Yoan Bonny his first Serie A start for the Nerazzurri.
The French striker impressed in his recent substitute appearances and now partners Lautaro Martinez from the first minute, offering pace, strength, and direct movement in behind.

Captain Lautaro, fresh from scoring in Cagliari and against Slavia midweek, continues to lead the line.
The Argentine will look to extend his excellent run of form against a well-organised Cremonese defence.
Bonny’s inclusion underlines Chivu’s faith in his young attackers.
Therefore, Pio Esposito is also expected to feature from the bench.
Changes In Defence & Midfield As Key Players Return

Chivu has also opted for several changes across the pitch.
Manuel Akanji, Nicolo Barella, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all return to the starting eleven after being rested in midweek.
Alessandro Bastoni takes his place on the left of the back three, with De Vrij and Akanji making up the defence.
Meanwhile Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco occupy the flanks.

I’m very worried about Diuof situation Chivu should help him out to build his confidence
He should stop trying to dribble, thsi is not Ligue 1, this is Serie A, you have to be fast to dribble, just keep the simple things for the moment, and than dribble.
Bonny is £100 million player.
vs cremonese…
Saw a lot of positives today. I have to say that Cremonese did not show much today, but we delivered more pace and combinations today than in a long time. Toro and Dima look fresh and fit. Bonny is exactly what we need, hope he continues that way. Barella is good when he do things simple. Miki is washed and allergic to goals, it would be better to kickstart Zieli. Not worried about Diouf yet but he need to show the right spirit. And Sucic need to bulk up, he looks a little bit light. GG guys
guys, i normally play better than Diouf, when I play with my colleagues every Saturday
so what are we going to do with Diuof now?
Just have to let him play more and more so he gets used to Inter football.
try to sell him next summer transfer window for million…
Guys, calm tf down. Diouf messed up, we all saw it, But the guy hasn’t even played 90 minutes for Inter and some of you are already calling him a waste of money… Let’s give him time before making any claims. The same goes for Pio, Sucic, and Henrique.
I agree, it’s a bit too early to judge. diouf has come from a different league, doesn’t speak the language etc. hopefully he will settle in ok. it’s the body language though which worries me.
Akanji also came from a different league, right? Diouf has been here for almost two months, and however little he played, every time he has entered he has made horrendous mistakes.
akanji is a veteran and speaks 5 languages. diouf is a no one who came from a nothing league, come on chalk and cheese
Diouf is a professional and is not coming from a youth league, he’s been training with this team for quite some time and by now, if he had any talent and potential, he would have shown it
training ground and match day are two different things bud. this is not football manager
We need to stay calm. From a management perspective, they need the combined strength of everyone in the team to play a huge number of games. It’s true that it’s still unclear what Diouf’s contribution will be, but with the current situation where there is always a shortage of physical backups for the midfield three, it would be foolish to write off options at early season. Even if he doesn’t produce results in a short amount of time, the tests must continue.
My opinion is that is still early to call anyone either flop or success, Sucic and Bonny had much better start. But what worries me isn’t Diouf’s lack of Italian language, but his nonchalance play and 0 effort. Other summer signings are giving 100% effort, but he walks to goal after lost ball, instead of going to break that guys legs and take back the ball.
Ikr… it’s the same thing they were saying about Chivu. Patience and time are essential to any project and this the philosophy that Chivu stands by so I know for a fact Difou will come good. Chivu even stated Difou’s best position is attacking midfield and I think he’s right.
I wonder what’s our plan for the palacios chap. this would have been the perfect game to give him some min.
Yeah, I kinda feel sorry fo the kid, he has such a high potential.
Bonny scored and gave 3 assists in 61 minutes. And some people are saying that none of Inter summer signings are good enough. LOL
the younger is stil learning. give them one season. we can see defend is back.
the other time I said Chivu refusing to give Diuof game time is because he don’t want fans to boo Diuof
Chivu now unlocked Barella in Hakan position. He looks so comfortable and creative
is dimarco defending better than usual?
I think the right question is: Can Dimarco deliver for 90 minutes ? The answer is 100% YES. As far for his defending it was never meant to be that great and he adds way more to the team going forward. I think for two matches now he plays the entire match and Inter looks so comfortable in attacking
Diuf needs to understand when given a chance in these situation he’s being asked to do anything special but just simple passes and keeping the ball. But the highlight of his time at Inter so far is that he looks so off and has urgency in winning the ball when chasing back. Frattessi on the other way he was running foe the entire 94 minutes
I thought he would settle in better with the French contingent we have.. I just hope this is teething issues.. I still remember barella’s first three games with us which were horrendous, and sensi was kicking a$$.. barrella turned out sort of ok.. 😉 hopefully diouf will too.
diouf was nothing but a panic buy. very bad start to his career with us. reminds me of kondogbia ALOT
what’s an inter game without some ‘pazza’ness. diouf is giving me the kdog vibes. more hype than talent. can’t believe our management thought he would be an apt sub for lookman.
Important three points. Now it’s very hard against Roma.
henrique is really useless
Positives:
Dimarco looks back
Bonny promising, links play well, scored
Lautaro another goal
We actually looked ok without Hakan
Negatives:
Pio is all hype and needs to go on loan again
Diouf is a nightmare
Frattesi looks rusty but just needs game time
Pic is all hype? his hold up and link up play was amazing and almost scored. How insufferable u are.
0 knowledge i swear. pio over hyped? ur the new rage baiter here arent u?
Defensively without Hakan we always look better, till Diouf came in, guy plays like he’s got guaranteed spot in starting 11. Frattesi was never that good in defensive assignments, his attributes lie in finishing and positioning on rebound ball. Pio good hold up game, but still need consistent minutes. Dimarco and Bonny beautiful game. Barella better than Hakan on his position, more running, better defensively, currently better reads game and gives passes. The only thing Hakan has better is shot, and taking set pieces.
Pio all hype is crazy. Everyone knew and said he will need to use this season to get Serie A experience. Hes been performing well and hes been very good on the ball even.
Pio is all hype? I’m seriously starting to worry about you!! Let’s not forget you spent all summer trashing Bonny also!! Just don’t understand ‘fans’ who want their own players to fail… especially youngsters! You’re flirting dangerously close to Davide levels….
Dude plays like he’s a starter, no urgency at all
Diouf = Gagliardini = Correa
now you understood why Diouf wasn;t playing. the last 4 minutes is going to be more complicated than the 90 min show cause of sommer and Diouf
Sommer was left unprotected by the defense, following the mistake made by Diouf
Diouf is extremely nervous
your team is winning 4-0 why the nerves?
It’s not nerves, he’s just not very good,
We all knew it, now we’re seeing it.
I understand why Chivu makes certain subs now because these subs are not inter material Topalovic is way better than Diouf
Oh great Diouf is exactly what we saw on all the videos – can’t pass, can’t dribble, gives the ball away and leads to a goal
Other than that, todays been great
So you think his signing was a money laundering?
Nope, I think it’s another example of piss poor recruitment. And a panic buy
Well at least you’ve moved on from Bonny…
Sommer LOL
You blaming sommer for that is hilarious…. It was all Diouf
your mom really made mistake to give birth to you and your dad to cum inside her
Bad decision there by diouf… he will learn
That one is on diouf
Maybe this is why Chivu doesn’t play him. Lost ball than walking back, instead of running to get the ball back.
Agreed, he jogs around. Doesnt really play with energy like the rest
All of Inter’s summer signings are on the field!
and non of them definitely not a starter material…but paid decently
Okay buddy. Bonny with a goal and three assists says hi…
Go Dima 1 more goal
I love seeing Fratessi, Dimarco, Bastoni, and Barella all playing the full game. And Pio getting playing time as well.
Pip so unlucky as usual
Pio
Chivu doesnt like Diouf in a midfield 3, looks like we’re switching to a 3421
Great to see Diouf get some minutes!! And honestly, DiMarco should be on about 6 assists from this game alone!!!
Dimarco is such a joy to watch on his game
Frattesi should have a couple goals today
Petar Sučić
and Andy Diouf will be on
Aaaahhhh almost beautiful goal.
Bonny on fire
people badly want to see diouf
lautaro the truly captain
Give the last 20 minute to Diouf and Sucic
idk why but Miki genuinely makes me angry lol
Miki has become Guarin when shooting
I have no words what a performance we need to see diouf now!
the composure on bonny and pio as “backup” st makes me think in no time they could bench lauti and thuram. W
More likely sold than benched.
beautiful to see players who looked to pass to players in better position to score instead of tryhard themselves, and the goal scorer appreciating the assists.
keep up the team work!
Chivu let’s see some Diouf
Brilliant football today.. time to bring on the subs! Let’s see diouf!!
barella went to kiss all his girls LOL
3 assists 1 gol. motm surely “clap”
Guaranteed atp
Another Bonny assist sheesh
It’s a rout!!! goooaaalll!!!! Barella!!!!
Dominance
Dimarcooooo!!!!! Let’s fucking go!!!!
Was 15 minutes behind, due to stupid UK broadcasting laws, but all caught up now… Absolute Dominance!! That was a joy to watch!! Great football, DiMarco truly back to his best (glad we didn’t sell him, eh haters!) Martinez on fire, and Bonny with a goal and an assist on his full debut!! I think a certain Mr Paulo (amongst others) may owe Bonny a little apology… probably best to see what a player can offer before slagging them off all summer!! Let’s Gooooo!!!
whom was barella hugging?
Just another relegation team member that we will be fighting survival in the hope of Seria A football next season, as you said several times before.
you need to check your brain. t wasn’t a teammate and I am not delusional like you when inter wins against cremonese I would shout and say inter will win everything. It is too early and I will maintain my views, let’s see what inter do against milan then you can attack me. F ac milan and F u
Saying a club that has never been relegated will be fighting for survival is the epitome of delusional. we didn’t beat milan last season were we fighting for survival?
No one is attacking you. It was just a sweet reminder. You said we will be fighting relegation, again and again and again.
4-0 F U right back, keyboard warrior!!!
It is against cremonese! Yes inter deserves to win but the season is long.
I forgot that Aleksandar Kolarov is part of inter coaches LOL
Dangerous and beautiful Inter. Keep this result or score more goals.
Was 15 minutes behind, due to stupid UK broadcasting laws, but all caught up now… Absolute Dominance!! That was a joy to watch!! Great football, DiMarco truly back to his best (glad we didn’t sell him, eh haters!) Martinez on fire, and Bonny with a goal and an assist on his full debut!! lets diouf play in second half
If both Bonny and Pio continue like this and finish this season with 15, 20 g+a i see them next season compete for 2nd starting place before Thuram.
yes, inter have been something else today.. finally seeing chivus gameplan.. he’s coming out of Inzaghis shadows.
that being said… I loved the referee today.. finally seeing some quality refereeing in serie a, not falling for dives!!
I see Pio in 2nd half and score one more
we play more direct and more agressive this season than with inzaghi seasons
How’s it’s only 2-0 we are destroying them and should be leading 4-0
That was not an easy finish to do , nice job by Bonny , hes having a good game so far. Dimarco looks on fire today
I feel like with Chivu we are more unpredictable than with Inzaghi
what a beautiful combination bw Basto and DM and just a superb finishing by Bonny!!! bravo. Bonny will be our New Etoo
Lovely play. Fratessi should’ve shot. It wasn’t a bad idea though. This game should be 4-0 by now.
Inzaghi would have been 5-0 by now LOL I wish nothing but ill wishes on Juventus, Milan, and Napoli and on anyone who defends them!
Inzaghi’s Inter score 5 goals in the first half exactly once. It happened against Hellas Verona last season.
inter hasn’t proved anything. They must win against Milan and Napoli to be serious contenders. Milan is very strong unfor,
Don’t tell us again please. You said it before several times. We will de fighting for relegation.
I don’t think so Inzaghi’s time was over and the way he left showed players no longer had the belief that they can peak with his playing style again. The fact is if Inzaghi was still the coach there would be no Bony, Frattesi and Pio. He would’ve fiind a way to keep hold of Correa or at least one of Arna or Taremi Lol
I think Inzaghi left because of the management. I think they told him it won’t be a bumper transfer window, and he just got fed up living with scraps.. that being said, I think Inzaghi had peaked with this team. unless he was given new toys I don’t think he could have taken us forward.
Exactly nothing lasts forever. Inter should be happy that new coach is making it looks like the coach never left but with new enthusiasm. Not all matches it would be smooth sailing but wins that are comfortable helps build confidence. Now Inter need to just keep playing and add some more goals and not concede
I love bonny so much and dimarco is back
The cross he did was so accurate for the 2ng goal
Second goal achievement UNLOCKED
All this talk about pio… bonny is just as talented
Bonny!!!! 2-0
16 shots in 38 minutes. That’s crazy.
I kinda like Barella in this position.
which position?
regista i think
reverse cowgirl
Fratessi so much energy today!
Mikhi must be cursed haha jokes aside that was outstanding save by Silvestri
We are looking very good today at least so far
I’m convinced mkhi will never score again
Mhiki for Gods sake, get 1 shot past the gk, otherwise good start of the game.
I am still waiting for people to say we are a relegation team even if it’s too early
Smooth start!!!!!
the game is getting boring cuz were dominating
Lautaroooo
fratessi missed
Let’s win this comfortably
I am not liking this line up too much. Its good to see Frattesi starting but I slowly want to see Susic playing more consistently especially against a team like Cremonese. Also whats happening with Diouf? I can see why Inter did not play him for a while but this has been too long no?
there was another recently article which Chivu said Diouf was the one of the last to join up with the team. chivu rewarded the player with 11 mins the next day.
so far, Chivu showed that he is willing to play young players, as opposed to our previous manager…
only one attacker on the bench…interesting
Wish it was Susic instead of Miki because Barella is the only ball carrier in the midfield. We’ll need more creativity against a defensive team like this.
