Alessandro Nesta believes Inter Milan are better equipped than AC Milan to cope with the pressure of a Serie A title race.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of Juventus vs Milan, the former Rossoneri defender reflected on the Scudetto battle and the balance of power in Italy.
“The team is built to compete for anything,” Nesta said of Milan.
“But I’d advise not to raise expectations too high. I don’t see them ready to carry the weight of having to win the Scudetto – though that doesn’t mean they can’t do it.”
Milan Legend Nesta: “Inter Cope Better Under Pressure” In Scudetto Prediction

Turning to Inter, the ex-Lazio and Milan great highlighted their depth and mental strength. “Inter have the structure to handle multiple competitions.
“Napoli maybe less so. Playing in the league, in Europe and then for the national team takes away energy somewhere. Inter find it easier to win in Europe and cope better with the pressure.”
After their resounding 4-1 win against Cremonese on Saturday night, Inter temporarily moved level on points at the top of the table.
The Nerazzurri have scored 17 goals this season, more than any other team.
Furthermore, Chivu’s side have recovered well from their setbacks against Udinese and Juventus.
Chivu has put squad rotation first this season and has coped well with absences from key players such as Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
The talented French forward is currently out with an injury until after the international break.
However, Ange-Yoan Bonny stepped in and put in a stellar performance, with three assists and a goal.

shut up nesta. milan are favourites. Inter will be champions however.
people already put inter under pressure by winning against small teams like cagliari and cremonese. I say inter have the chance to win the scudetto every year even without a good start. people need to know conte’s training is always tough. napoli can go full throttle and they’ll stumble later like last year they had everything on the table, but only won by one point against inter who competed in all major competitions with tired legs. one injury of their key players will disrupt their balance. meanwhile inter’s problem is inconsistencies. inter’s squad depth is always the key to win everything, but it’s the players who make it difficult while bilan don’t have this advantage. remember when we lost acerbi and pavard due to injuries and we had to rely on bisseck? we still went far. I used to criticize chivu very hard from the beginning of CWC, but now I see the different between him and conte/alegri, even inzaghi, he has the courage to play aggressive. Italian’s managers tend to play pragmatic football no matter what tactic they use, it’s predictable. I watched bilan vs rube, alegri went back to his roots. I should give credit to chivu for this (though inzaghi had moments when he made inter play great football) and I hope he will keep changing my opinions on him that he’s just caretaker.
