Early-season statistics suggest that Francesco Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny are outperforming Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic.
According to Il Giorno via FCInterNews, Inter’s new backup strikers have already outshined their predecessors.
Former Inter boss Simone Inzaghi relied on Mehdi Taremi, Correa, and Arnautovic to deputize for Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
However, they often failed to live up to expectations.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri severed ties with all three during the summer.
Meanwhile, Esposito returned to the club, while Cristian Chivu signed his ex-Parma pupil Bonny.
Numbers Favor Bonny & Esposito Over Taremi, Arnautovic & Correa

Taremi, Arnautovic, and Correa combined for only two goals and three assists in the first eight games last season.
Moreover, Taremi alone was responsible for one goal and all three assists.
On the other hand, Bonny and Esposito have contributed three goals and three assists in the same number of matches.
Despite finding the net just once, Esposito has demonstrated maturity well beyond his age.
Indeed, the 20-year-old has been nothing short of remarkable.
As for Bonny, he has been lethal in the final third, netting twice in Serie A already.
