Serie A runners-up Inter Milan maintain the highest wage bill in Italy’s top flight despite a slight reduction compared to the previous season.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the club’s decreased wage expenditures have not changed its position in the standings.
Despite cutting ties with Mehdi Taremi, Marko Arnautovic, Benjamin Pavard, and Joaquin Correa, Inter’s wage bill remains the highest in Serie A.
However, Beppe Marotta and his associates are keen to trim costs, relying on a new transfer policy.
Inter Milan Maintain Highest Wage Bill in Serie A

Inter focused on cost-effective signings over the summer, acquiring the likes of Ange-Yoan Bonny and Petar Sucic, among others.
Meanwhile, their direct Scudetto rivals were far more aggressive in their recruitment.
For example, Napoli have experienced a dramatic increase in their wage bill.
Indeed, their salary spending has jumped from €92 million last season to nearly €135 million this year.
That’s mainly thanks to Kevin De Bruyne’s arrival from Manchester City.
Furthermore, Roma and Juventus have also increased their wage bills, with the latter’s payroll currently standing at €123 million gross.
