Tuttosport has published their player ratings following Inter’s penalty shootout defeat to Atletico Madrid in Benghazi, with Josep Martinez and Yann Bisseck standing out among an otherwise inconsistent team performance.
The Spanish goalkeeper earned a 6.5, described as having faced an ‘exam-level test,’ producing key saves.
His only goal conceded, from Carlos Martín, was blamed more on teammate Palacios, who received just 5.
Bisseck was also awarded a 6.5, earning praise for his aerial strength and equalising header from a Mkhitaryan corner.
The German defender was solid overall, despite some openings on his flank during the first half.

The rest of the squad fared less well.
Palacios (5) struggled defensively, whilst Andy Diouf (5.5) was described as ‘disconnected’ from Inter’s patterns of play, lacking cohesion and defensive presence.
Luis Henrique (5.5) also drew criticism for his lack of initiative.
Tuttosport noting that the Brazilian ‘showed little courage and few dribbles.’
Although he improved slightly after the break before missing his penalty in the shootout.
Ange-Yoan Bonny (5.5) started brightly but faded, attempting too many solo moves.
Meanwhile, youngster Agbonifo (6) earned an honourable mention for his lively cameo, coming close to scoring late on.
The paper concluded that while Inter lacked brilliance, players like Martinez, Bisseck, and Agbonifo offered encouraging signs.
