Inter are among several clubs tracking Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic, following confirmation from the Neroverdi’s sporting director Francesco Palmieri that interest in the player is rising across Europe.
Speaking to TRC Modena, Palmieri praised the Bosnian centre-back as one of the club’s standout discoveries, revealing how little Sassuolo paid to sign him.
“A great signing – we paid less than €4 million,” Palmieri said, via FCInterNews, describing the deal as “a major coup” for the club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport and UOL Esporte have previously linked Inter with the 22-year-old, who has impressed this season with his composure, strength, and ability to play out from the back.
Sassuolo Sporting Director Confirms “Clubs Have Asked” About Inter Target Muharemovic

Palmieri acknowledged that the Nerazzurri are among those monitoring the player but stressed that competition for his signature is growing.
“Several clubs have asked about him,” the Sassuolo director admitted.
He also spoke about fellow defender Jay Idzes, whose signing has gained global attention due to his popularity in Indonesia.
“We signed him because he’s a strong centre-back,” Palmieri explained.
“Only later did we discover his media impact and millions of followers in Indonesia. I buy strong players and Jay is truly strong.”
Inter’s scouting department has reportedly identified Muharemovic as one of the emerging Serie A defenders to watch.
Therefore, it is symbolic as Cristian Chivu and the board continue building long-term depth in defence.

Haha, less than €4 million for a standout defender? Palmieri must be smiling! Inter Milans scouting budget must be running on beans and goodwill. Good luck to them competing with all those clubs now – its like trying to find a parking spot in Milan during rush hour! Maybe they should start offering Muharemovic free gelato? #SerieADreamOrNightmare #ScoutingBudgetBlackHolewhat was the last prophecy deltarune
