Torino president Urbano Cairo has reportedly sounded out an audacious move for former Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi.
According to La Stampa via FCInterNews, the Serie A strugglers are keen to sign the Galatasaray superstar on a free transfer.
Mauro Icardi will become a free agent at the end of the season.
Indeed, his contract at Rams Park expires in June 2026, with Galatasaray seemingly unwilling to offer him fresh terms.
Therefore, the Argentine will be available on a Bosman deal.

Buddy…the last 20 we had adriano, ibra and milito. I don’t think he is better finisher than any of them. It was easier for him to shine among the guys you mentioned as we were often playing a system with a lone nr9 (4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-2-1-2-1). We tried 3-5-2 and osvaldo almost slap the shiii out of mauro. No hate though. The kid delivered goals. But i’m glad he’s out. Never an inter material. Shame he wore the armband.
Milito was probably the best finisher in the last 20 years. I’ll put ibra and the imperator at nr2. And the last 30…..well..they will have to scoop to nr 4 as crespo and bobo were animals in front of the goal.
Adriano will always be one of my favorite players, and Milito for bringing us CL. Icardi isn’t among them for sure, same as Ibra, but we have to give credit to him. If it weren’t for him our banter era would be much, much worse. We may dislike or hate him, but he was killer in front of goal and stats shows that. As for his private life, it’s shameful to go after another man’s wife, especially a friend’s, that’s a low-point in my opinion, but Wanda is pure evil.
His performance was impacted heavily due to his mind controlling wife and he still managed to score many goals. Imagine if he focused on football only. He would have been an Inter legend while also playing many games for Argentina.
