Inter Milan starlet Francesco Pio Esposito delivered another promising performance for Italy in last night’s FIFA World Cup qualifier. 

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 20-year-old fared well despite wasting a huge goal-scoring opportunity.

Despite finding the net in a 3-1 win over Estonia, Francesco Pio Esposito started last night’s clash on the bench.

Indeed, former Atalanta center-forward Mateo Retegui got the nod in attack as Italy lined up in a 4-3-3 formation.

Esposito replaced Atletico Madrid forward Giacomo Raspadori at the start of the second half.

Though he spent most of the match playing with his back to goal, Inter’s rising star still had a glorious chance to score for his country again.

However, he fluffed his lines, failing to put the icing on the cake.

Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco maintained his form resurgence with another emphatic display on the win.

Indeed, the highly-rated wingback picked up a late assist for Gianluca Mancini.

Furthermore, he was a constant threat down the flank, completing numerous dangerous crosses into the box.
