Inter Milan have nearly seen the return of all their first-team stars from international duty, including unsettled midfielder Davide Frattesi.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, it’s been a refreshing experience for most, but not the Italian ace.
Frattesi’s wobble at San Siro shows no signs of stopping despite Cristian Chivu’s pre-season promise to reinvigorate the ex-Sassuolo star.
Indeed, Davide Frattesi remains a bit-part player in the Nerazzurri system even after Simone Inzaghi’s departure.
Everyone Smiling at Inter Milan but Davide Frattesi

Despite his miserable patch at San Siro, Frattesi earned Gennaro Gattuso’s call-up for October’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
However, the 26-year-old was an unused substitute in Italy’s last home victory.
If it’s any consolation, he made a late cameo appearance in a 3-1 win over Estonia.
Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito, Federico Dimarco, Alessandro Bastoni, and Nicolo Barella all featured more prominently for the Azzurri.
Therefore, Frattesi will likely need to work even harder to regain his spot at Inter.
Others, like Hakan Calhanoglu and Piotr Zielinski, thrived, further derailing Frattesi’s chances of finding more space.

The last game before the international break was Frattesis first start of the season, and probably his best game ever in an Inter shirt, as he was finally used correctly…. we’ll have to see how much that game influences Chivu going forward, but I’d love to see Frattesi, Barella, Sucic starting together…
