Frustration and disbelief filled the Inter dressing room after the controversial penalty that set the tone for the 3-1 defeat to Napoli, with club president Giuseppe Marotta even speaking after the game to criticise the decision.
Players were furious as they rewatched the incident at halftime, with voices in the corridor shouting: “No, come on – what foul is that?”
The report comes via FCInter1908 in the aftermath of the match.
The sense of injustice quickly grew, and club president Marotta even entered the dressing room to speak with Cristian Chivu.
Furthermore, to gauge the mood of the squad.
The controversial penalty was awarded to Napoli in the first half, much to the dismay of Inter personnel.
Napoli 3-1 Inter – Marotta & Players Furious As Media Silence Begins

According to the reports, “nobody accepted with calmness such a strange decision: first no, then yes.”
The problem, they noted, was psychological.
“The team stayed stuck in that moment,” losing focus as Napoli took control after the break.
Marotta later went on camera to express the club’s position.
“I believe in the centrality of the referee, and he cannot be influenced like that in such a decision.”
Inter have now gone into media silence, focusing on a reset ahead of Fiorentina’s visit to San Siro.

Camorra never rest !
Camorra !
yo, what about two yellow cards for Gilmour and no red card??? wtf??
I agree the penalty was a mistake, but what happened to two golden opportunities missed by Lautaro? Leaving the blind-sided apart, we need to start criticizing Lautaro. How did he miss the first opportunity to open the game? For Chivu, you came here to make changes that Inzaghi left. Until yesterday, you kept playing the same game he did. Miki needs to be benched, not for Zielinsky, but for Sucic. I do not remember the last time he assisted our strikers.
We lost because of Mhiki absence
you are very spot on, Lautaro caused us the game, its hi time we start looking for replacement for him considering his high wages, as for Christian Chivu, he’s not the right man for the job.
Have seen enough already.
What’s your problem with Mikhi man?? Do you really think Susic or Frattessi would do better than him? Take a long trip my friend…… I repeat again i am not a big fan of Mikhi but he’s on the starting 11 for a reason and don’t tell me you know the game better than Inzhagi and Chivu.
Don’t just find excuses. Ref gave the decision it’s a penalty, so it stays a penalty. You can debate or appeal after the game, but until the final whistle is blown you give 110% on the pitch. They had 3 shots on our goal, 3 allowed goals. Sommer now more bad games then good ones, replace him with Di Gennaro if needed to. Marotta has done poor job over the summer, Diouf and Luis completely unplayable, Sucic on occasion shows that he’s got big potential and a good touch, but in defensive assignments 0 grade (same as every our midfielder, beside Mhiki and Barella), Akanji was brought as replacement over Pavard, nothing more, no improvement on that side at all. Bonny had left positive impressions on everyone, just last night was bad game for everyone.
Basto worst game from the start of season, Akanji subpar game, Acerbi for retirement, players are running past him as though he’s a tree planted 30m in front of our goal. Dimarco and Dumfries weren’t that bad, just didn’t have that much of a presence in attack as they usually have. Midfield horrible, McTominay and Anguissa ate them as usual. Whoever is clamoring here that Frattesi should start more FUCK OFF. The guy is useless in midfield, with him on the pitch always one less player in defensive play, same with Zielinski. Strikers failed big time last night, Bonny cut off completely, Pio was ok, holding 2,3 player on his back since he came in. Lautaro my man you gotta be more clinical, if it weren’t for his overall presence on the pitch, fighting for the ball, helping defense he would be 3rd choice as a striker based on his finishing. Chivu without new reinforcement we knew that he couldn’t change play that much, but during the game when you see that your midfield is overrun, defense is failing big time, change the fucking formation from 3 back in defense.
Winning streak is over, hopefully from next match we start new one.
It’s mathematically impossible to give 110%.
If 100% is the maximum, then you cannot do 110%.
