Napoli head coach Antonio Conte took another swipe at Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta following Saturday’s clash at the Maradona Stadium.
During his recent interview via FCInterNews, the former Nerazzurri boss hit back at Marotta’s post-match remarks.
Tensions don’t subside after last weekend’s controversial game in Naples.
Indeed, Napoli beat Inter 3-1, largely thanks to referee Maurizio Mariani, who awarded a phantom penalty to the Partenopei.
Despite being suspended after the game, Mariani inflicted irreparable damage on Cristian Chivu’s side at the Maradona.
His contentious first-half decision set the tone for Napoli’s triumph, resulting in Inter’s first defeat since mid-September.
Therefore, Beppe Marotta was justifiably annoyed after the game, lashing out at match officials.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte appears unwilling to bury the hatchet. Instead, he’s continuing to provoke his former associates.
Napoli Boss Antonio Conte Takes Swipe at Inter Milan Chief Beppe Marotta

“Was the penalty justified? I think it’s right that you judge what happened,” Conte stated. “It wouldn’t be fair for me to come here and complain.
“Too few days have passed since the last match, with different behavior from others.
“We remain calm and confident in Rocchi and the refereeing standards, hoping that certain complaints do not influence decisions.
“It depends on who they come from. When presidents make statements, they think they are giving an important direction.
“We don’t complain, but we pay attention; we’re not naive. If someone wanted to send particular messages, that’s not acceptable,” Conte finished.
In addition to suspending Mariani, Serie A designator Gianluca Rocchi took action against assistant referee Daniele Bindoni.
Indeed, Bindoni will be out of action until the end of November.
He played a decisive role in getting Mariani to change his mind and award the penalty.
Therefore, Rocchi’s decision to sanction both officials underscores the league’s intent to hold referees accountable for poor calls.

Conte has no shame. Even referees already admitted the wrong call on the penalty, he still talks like this? What a jerk. And he said “we dont complain”??????? He forgot he is the one who complaint the most, not only to refs, but also to his boss lol……
Nothing can defeat someone like Conte and FIGC who have lost all sense of shame.
Classic Conte lol… I never liked this arrogant clown, not even when he coached Inter. I think I disliked him even more because of his outdated tactics. It’s only now he’s starting to play decent football but his attitude has remained the same. He’s definitely a product of the Juve family. A bunch of clowns at that club.
Conte and his fans must pay a hefty price. Let’s hope he gets defeated in the CL miserably and most of Napoli players will be out for at least 3 months. It will be fun if he gets depressed no one will miss him. Wish allegri and spoaghettti the worse luck ever exist to any human being
conte has started what did last season. he is complaining and trying to confuse lega serie a in order to protect himself, napoli(result to go their way), and make others look like fools. a man without good character.no wonder spain rejected him and eng prem chased him away. actions should be carried out against him, as he is setting a bad example and giving the a bad name.who is afraid of him? is he a mafia? i couldnt care less.
Look, I’m not one to blame the defeat on that penalty since the team didn’t look like they were willing to fight back after Anguisa’s goal, but that penalty definitely helped Napoli. Whether you believe it’s a penalty or not, you have to admit that being up 1-0 helps Conte’s tactics; he can now have his team sit back and counter, which is exactly what happened on the second goal.
That said, Conte crying about others complaining and hoping it doesn’t influence refereeing moving forward is just dishonest and hypocritical. That’s exactly what he did last season even after Hakan missed that penalty.
Conte crying and complaining is not new to anybody here anyways.
Like he did last season, fkin prick.
