Petar Sucic will reportedly return to the starting lineup in tonight’s must-win Serie A showdown between Inter Milan and Fiorentina.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 21-year-old will take Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s place in the midfield.
Inter lost the Armenian veteran to injury during Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Napoli.
Indeed, Henrikh Mkhitaryan slumped to a thigh issue as he committed a phantom penalty on Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
Therefore, he is not in contention for tonight’s match.
Petar Sucic to Start in Inter Milan vs Fiorentina Clash

With Mkhitaryan unavailable for selection, Cristian Chivu will likely turn to Sucic to fill the midfield vacancy.
Despite replacing the 36-year-old at the Maradona Stadium, Piotr Zielinski will start on the bench.
Indeed, the Polish star’s performance against his former club failed to inspire confidence.
As a result, Chivu will trust Sucic to fill Mkhitaryan’s shoes tonight.
Meanwhile, the Croatian starlet last started a Serie A game in September, helping Inter see off newly promoted Sassuolo 2-1.
However, he has since tumbled down the pecking order.

….and what a goal, after a rather modest start of the game Petar geared up in the second half. I hope he will continue in this way!
