Yann Bisseck delivered a defensive masterclass in last night’s Serie A meeting between Inter Milan and Fiorentina.
According to the Italian media via L’Interista, the 24-year-old was a ‘positive surprise’ at the heart of Cristian Chivu’s defense.
Despite not featuring in Serie A since late August, Yann Bisseck enjoyed a phenomenal night at San Siro.
Indeed, the German center-back took Francesco Acerbi’s place at the back after the latter’s disjointed performance against Napoli.
Unfazed by a lengthy period of inactivity, he won virtually every duel against his opponents.

Hakan Calhanoglu stole the show with a game-winning double.
Still, Bisseck’s contribution was equally important as the former Aarhus star helped them keep a rare clean sheet this season.
Indeed, Inter registered only their third shutout in their last 11 home league outings.
Furthermore, Bisseck had the tough task of containing star striker Moise Kean throughout the match.
However, he passed the test with flying colors, giving Chivu every reason to start playing him more often.

well it looks like he plays better in the Centre rather than on the right of the back 3.
because he needs cover from both sides. he’s like lost in thoughts when he played as RCB. can’t say he’s different now from 1 game. fiorentina didn’t really threat inter defense
Finally he has matured! Good that we didn´t sell him.
When he arrived I believed he would be a better defender than Skriniar. The last year I doubted that he ever would understand how to defend. Now I´m back in my earlier belief after this last game. Possibly the future central defender for many years to come.
