Inter Milan put Fiorentina to the sword in last night’s Serie A clash at San Siro, cruising to a comfortable 3-0 victory.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, referee Simone Sozza made two huge errors.

Despite dominating the game, Inter Milan couldn’t find a way past David de Gea in the first half.

However, the Nerazzurri had Fiorentina on the ropes, and it was only a matter of time before they would score the opener.

Star midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu provided a moment of brilliance to open the scoring before putting away another penalty.

In addition to Calhanoglu’s second-half double, Petar Sucic scored his first-ever goal in the Nerazzurri shirt.

Meanwhile, Sozza stole the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

Indeed, the Serie A referee failed to award two ‘textbook’ penalties to the home team on either side of halftime.

Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo got away with two blatant fouls on Francesco Pio Esposito.

He first dragged the Italian striker down inside the box, then wrapped his hand around Esposito’s neck in a wrestling-style tackle.

However, Sozza somehow failed to see a foul on both occasions.
