Francesco Pio Esposito failed to score in last night’s Serie A match between Inter Milan and Fiorentina, but still made his presence felt.

According to the Italian media via L’Interista, the 20-year-old was a constant source of concern for the visiting defenders.

The Italian striker replaced Ange-Yoan Bonny in the starting lineup after the Frenchman’s dull display against Napoli.

Despite failing to get on the scoresheet, Francesco Pio Esposito left a telling impression yet again.

There’s no longer a shred of doubt – Pio Esposito belongs to Serie A.

Indeed, the young center-forward demonstrated maturity, movement, and work rate well beyond his years.

Furthermore, his spatial awareness and on-field understanding with Lautaro Martinez really stood out.

Unfortunately, referee Simone Sozza refused to reward Esposito’s tremendous effort.

Despite being tackled down by Pietro Comuzzo twice inside the box, Sozza turned a blind eye each time.

For whatever reason, Sozza deemed both incidents unworthy of a spot-kick, leaving Cristian Chivu and his staff fuming.
