Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has suffered in the absence of his attacking partner Marcus Thuram in recent weeks.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Frenchman’s injury has affected El Toro’s performances.
It’s been a disappointing start to the season for Lautaro Martinez, who has only scored three goals in the first ten Serie A rounds.
However, the Argentine center-forward has been exceptional in the Champions League, scoring three goals in as many matches.
Stats Show Lautaro Martinez Relies on Marcus Thuram

Lautaro has formed a formidable attacking partnership with Marcus Thuram since the latter’s arrival from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2023.
Indeed, the star duo inspired the Nerazzurri to their landmark 20th Scudetto in Thuram’s first season at San Siro.
Furthermore, their on-field understanding has become a cornerstone of Inter’s attacking play.
To put that into context, Lautaro has netted four goals in 352 minutes with Thuram on the pitch, averaging a goal every 88 minutes.
In contrast, he has managed just two goals in 526 minutes without the 28-year-old, bringing his average down to one goal every 263 minutes.
