Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer relinquished his perfect Champions League record in last night’s win over Kairat Almaty.
According to the Italian media via L’Interista, the 36-year-old held up his end of the bargain despite failing to keep a clean sheet.
Despite boasting a flawless defensive record after the opening three league-phase rounds, Inter capitulated at the fourth hurdle.
Though it was a long shot, debutants Kairat found the net at San Siro, with Ofri Arad beating Yann Sommer in the second half.

Despite conceding his first goal in this season’s Champions League, the Swiss veteran performed well.
Indeed, there was nothing he could do to stop Arad from leveling the score in the 55th minute.
However, he denied Edmilson in the first half with a brilliant reaction.
Meanwhile, Cristian Chivu missed out on a golden opportunity to etch his name into the Champions League history books.
Kairat’s goal ruined Inter’s perfect defensive record, preventing Chivu from becoming the first manager to win his first four games without conceding.
