Inter Milan storm towards Champions League qualification with a 100% record, but their hardest tests are yet to come.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, believe all four Italian teams in the competition have a fair chance of qualifying for the knockout stages.

While the overall picture isn’t as strong as last season, Inter Milan are the standout exception.

Under Cristian Chivu, the Nerazzurri have been flawless in Europe so far, winning all four of their opening matches with 11 goals scored and just one conceded.

That perfect record puts them top of the table, even after a disappointing 2-1 win over Kairat.

Indeed, level on points with Bayern Munich and Arsenal, and already close to securing qualification.

Indeed, Inter’s group-stage campaign now shifts into its decisive phase.

Their final four fixtures will see them face Atletico Madrid away, then Liverpool and Arsenal at San Siro, before a closing trip to Borussia Dortmund.

With 12 points already in the bank, progression to the playoffs is effectively guaranteed, but the real goal is a Top 8 finish.

This would secure direct qualification to the round of 16 under the new Champions League format.
