Liverpool could be preparing a blockbuster move for Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni as they look to rebuild their defence ahead of next season.
According to CaughtOffside, the Premier League giants have set their sights on the Inter Milan centre-back as a replacement for Ibrahima Konaté.
The Frenchman is expected to leave Anfield at the end of the campaign when his contract expires.
The report claims that Liverpool are willing to spend around €100 million to secure Bastoni.
The Italian’s current contract with Inter runs until June 2028.
The Italian international is valued at roughly €80 million by Transfermarkt.
However, the Reds appear ready to go beyond that figure to convince the Nerazzurri.
Liverpool Chase Inter Milan Star Bastoni

The Inter star remains one of Serie A’s most complete defenders.
Furthermore, he has traits that make him particularly attractive for Liverpool’s style under Arne Slot.
After spending over half a billion euros in the last transfer window, the Merseyside club show no signs of slowing down.
Inter, however, are under no pressure to sell and will likely resist any approach unless the offer proves truly irresistible.

Bastoni is one of our key players but the offer is too huge we can’t reject it.The problem is if we sold him could our scouts get us a better replacement since now our scouts are very poor in scouting.
we’ll, that’s a big question mark. It’s astounding how clubs like Parma, Monza, Udineze etc are buying cheap young prospects that eventually grow into top players, whereas we are byung garbage, such as Palacios, Barbosa, the most recent acqusitions Henrique and Diouf, and numerous others.
If we miss out on this offer (provided it’s not a rumor), we will most likelly never receive anything close to it. The same applies to Pio, we should have sold him in the summer when met with an offer of 35 mill, we will hardly ever receive somerhing like that for him. I understand that Basto is one of our key players bur for 100 mill we can buy at least two top defenders + potentially one prospect.
what a ridiculous statement. are we a team to sell our best potential and best players. so we don’t want to win???
if the offer really arrives, sell him ouright and buy two young, fast, quality defensive players.
yeah let’s get more bisseck! nonsense
Really i’m fed up with nonsense of selling our core players and captains. Guy had 2.3 subpar games on 20 played and there’s immediately calling for transfer, besides the rest of games were either standard or outstanding.
it’s not that easy bro.. logically, yes, bastoni market value is worth for two quality-young defenders. but, as far it has happen in Inter, the money after selling key players is difficult to be converted for new players. we have seen many dramas in buying new players.
whatever! forza inter!
