A January loan move looks increasingly likely for Tomas Palacios, who continues to find himself on the fringes of Cristian Chivu’s defensive hierarchy at Inter Milan.

He did, however, play in the mid-season friendly against Atletico Madrid in Benghazi at the start of last month.

Indeed, both leagues seen as potential destinations where he could earn regular playing time.
Palacios spent the latter half of last season on loan at Monza, making eight Serie A appearances.
However, he has since struggled to break into Chivu’s rotation in Milan.
Inter are expected to assess proposals in the coming weeks, with a view to sending the defender abroad.
To therefore continue his development and regain form in the second half of the campaign.
