Inter forward Ange-Yoan Bonny celebrated another crucial goal and praised teammate Federico Dimarco in the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Lazio, sealing all three points and putting Cristian Chivu’s side top of Serie A.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, the Frenchman paid tribute to teammate Dimarco.

The Italian’s assist set up Bonny’s decisive goal to double Inter’s lead.

“When I see Dimarco go down that side, I know I have to be ready in the box because his assists are always top,” Bonny explained, with quotes via FCInterNews.

The Frenchman has quickly become a favourite under Chivu for his energy, pressing and eye for goal.

Therefore, his finish against Lazio marked another step in his growing impact since joining Inter.

Looking ahead, Bonny is already focused on his next challenge, his first Derby della Madonnina after the international break.

“It’ll be an important match like all the others,” he said. “We’ll prepare to win it.”

Bonny’s goal and attitude underline why Chivu continues to trust him as a key piece in Inter’s attacking rotation.

He only signed from Parma in the summer, following Chivu in the move to Inter.

However, he has had to step up, indeed, following the injury to Marcus Thuram.

Thuram is now back in the squad but Bonny has definitely staked his claim for more minutes.
