Nicolo Barella reminded Serie A of who he is during last night’s mammoth showdown between Inter Milan and Lazio.

According to the Italian press via L’Interista, the 28-year-old’s ‘tireless’ performance was instrumental in Inter’s 2-0 victory.

It’s been a season of ups and downs for the diminutive midfielder so far.

Indeed, the former Cagliari star has struggled for consistency in the early stages of the 2025/26 campaign.

However, Nicolo Barella returned to his usual best on the eve of the international break.

Cristian Chivu has frequently rotated Barella this season, managing his workload to keep him fresh for the most demanding fixtures 

Last night, he needed the Italian ace at his best, and Barella answered the call.

Despite a relatively quiet start to the game, Barella grew into the contest as the match progressed.
