Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri is reportedly ‘dreaming’ of signing Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.
According to La Repubblica via FCInterNews, the Biancocelesti manager is a big-time admirer of the Italian star.
Davide Frattesi remains on the fringes of the Nerazzurri squad despite Cristian Chivu’s pre-season promise.
Indeed, the 45-year-old vowed to reignite Frattesi’s career upon his arrival at San Siro in June.
However, the 26-year-old’s status at the club remains unchanged compared to last season.
Lazio Boss Maurizio Sarri Keen to Sign Inter Milan Star Davide Frattesi

Aware of Frattesi’s wobble at Giuseppe Meazza, Maurizio Sarri is hoping to lure the player to Rome.
Yet, there’s a major roadblock in the form of the midfielder’s salary.
Indeed, Frattesi’s €3 million annual wages make his transfer to the Stadio Olimpico a ‘mission impossible.’
Therefore, Lazio would likely need the former Sassuolo ace to take a pay cut in order to facilitate the move.
Meanwhile, Inter’s stance remains uncertain.
Despite Frattesi’s bleak performance, the club already turned down Atletico Madrid’s approach in the summer.
Moreover, the Nerazzurri also refused Roma’s attempt to re-sign their academy graduate last winter.
