Inter Milan stalwarts Francesco Acerbi and Davide Frattesi are reportedly open to cutting ties with the club in January.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, both players have grown frustrated with their current status at San Siro.

Despite being central to Simone Inzaghi’s project, Francesco Acerbi is no longer indispensable for Inter.

Indeed, new boss Cristian Chivu had benched the 37-year-old in three consecutive matches before last Sunday’s clash against Lazio.

Meanwhile, it’s also worth noting that the veteran defender’s contract at San Siro expires at the end of the season.

Slipping down the pecking order has not gone well with the former Lazio center-back.

Therefore, he would reportedly be willing to listen to offers during the winter transfer window.

Furthermore, the same applies to Davide Frattesi, who remains a bit-part player at Giuseppe Meazza.

Despite Chivu’s guarantees of regular first-team football, the 26-year-old remains on the fringes of the Nerazzurri squad.

Lazio and Roma have already shown interest in the ex-Sassuolo midfielder.
