Federico Dimarco has heaped praise on Francesco Pio Esposito, highlighting the young striker’s impressive development for both Inter Milan and Italy.
Speaking in press conference ahead of the Azzurri’s World Cup qualifier against Norway, Dimarco said the focus remained on maintaining momentum despite the near-impossible task of overtaking the Scandinavians in the group.
“Turning it around is difficult, actually impossible,” he admitted, with quotes via FCInterNews.
“Beyond a 9-0 miracle, it’s our last game before the March play-offs. We have to test a few things and then win, because winning helps you win.”
Dimarco Hails Inter & Italy Teammate Pio Esposito

The Inter wing-back reflected on the growth of Italy’s young talents, with particular attention on his club teammate Esposito, who scored again in the win over Moldova.
“He’s a young and strong player who’s working very hard,” Dimarco explained.
“At Inter we see it every day: he still needs to improve in some areas, but he’s on the right path. We just need to let him grow without putting too much pressure on him. He’s showing a lot already: and like all of us, he’ll have setbacks, but we’ll help him through them.”
Dimarco’s comments underline the growing faith within Inter’s dressing room in Esposito’s potential.
Having broken into both Chivu’s first team and Gennaro Gattuso’s Italy squad, the young striker is quickly earning admiration from the senior figures around him.
